You are correct about your post not being received well. I am not going to trash you or your motives, but I am also not going stand idley by while you trash Mile. As for me I am with Mile all day, every day!

    The all-time best individual seasons

I do think playing only one year has limited how people see his time at IU. That was also the last pre-Knight year, I think that also has an impact. i remember George bringing the ball up the court against the press and dribbling the ball around behind his back while an opposing guard ran around him in a circle trying to get the ball. That guard looked like a toddler trying to guard a man.

    The all-time best individual seasons

Big George was the best college basketball player I ever saw play in person. His 1 and only season was incredible!

    Devonte Green

If Devonte can consistently play up to his potential, this team will be special.

    Way-Too-Early Preseason Top 25!

I agree with you. I also believe that this team “should” be ranked when it really matters. I hope people disrespect this team and look past them, right up until the time we kick their butts!

    Evan Fitzner Commits to IU

Man, I love what Archie and the staff have done in such a short time. If you don’t have a man crush on Archie right now, there are only two options: 1) you are a female or, 2) you are a boilermaker.

    Evan Fitzner Commits to IU

Others have talked about fit and filling a need. I think this young man does both. Welcome to IU! man I would love to see the scrimmage in practice this year. There is going to be some real competition for pt.

    Green, Durham, Phinisee...

I share all of the concerns previously stated. I am hopeful that the increased competition in practice will lead to commitment and improvement all around. I also believe that increased talent on the floor at the other positions may take some of the heat off of the point guard position. I do think that the proficiency level at point guard will have a lot to do with how high the ceiling is for this team.

CC that picture reminds me of my last night at McNutt (the quantity, not the quality). I wore a funky colored pair of corduroys as I recall; never did find those pants.

Okay, I probably shouldn’t leak this, but I know you guys will keep it to yourselves. I may be the special guest. I was told (confidentially of course) that if everyone else, alive or dead, who ever used the letters “I” and “U” in the same sentence, turned them down, that I would be their first choice. Bursting with pride!

I go back a long way with this group and longer with IU. Not as long as Mile, but long none the less. Been with this forum through multiple sites and started at IU in the fall of 1969. I am excited for IU basketball in a way that I have not been for a while, both for the short and the long term. Romeo is the icing on the cake that Archie is baking for IU. I would like to thank the mods, those with inside information, and the passionate fan, regular posters for making this THE place to share in the excitement! GO HOOSIERS!

    New Tom Davis Article

Guess I am part of the old guard then. I would not hire someone just because they are well dressed. I also am not likely to hire someone who comes to an interview in pajama pants. To me it is about doing your homework and demonstrating that you understand something about the environment you trying to become a part of.

The only information I have comes from this board. I sure like what I am reading on here, particularly from Coach, 708 and my fellow old region rat, Mile. if Archie can make a substantial portion of what seems possible on the recruiting front, come through to fruition, WE ARE BACK!
