....Do we even know if Coach Woodson still wants him and is staying in touch with him on a regular basis? We may be a distant memory to Harper. I would gladly take him if there was mutual interest. It just seems pretty cold if not "Artic". lol JMO....
I imagine Woodson would take him if he wanted to come to IU and I know I would be happy with that. I don't know if they're still in contact with him but even if they are it doesn't seem like the staff is putting too much effort into it. Certainly not going to visit him a lot like they've done with McNeeley, Fland, and Queen. I suspect they know he isn't going to come here so they're not wasting time and resources.

I dislike 6:30 start times. My life schedule just does not allow me to sit down and watch a game that starts that early in the evening. Give me the 8:30 start time. If it's an ESPN game, I'll take 9 o'clock.
So, unfortunately I'll be recording and watching tonight's game later in th he evening.
I live in Arizona so I agree. For me, later is better.

Oh, I get that, still this is just crazy quiet compared to the lead-up to decisions by McNeeley, Flanders, etc.
Probably because not only is there nothing new, we've long been told that Maryland is the likely selection as well as after Fland people don't want to get their hopes up too much.

Not sure ‘caving in’ was what got the into trouble - it was being stubborn, refusing to ‘cave in’ and over-step their authority, which ultimately invaded on individual rights. The quote at the end said it best: "The problem with organizations like the NCAA deciding to fight until the last dog's dead is that sometimes they end up being the last dog,"
…see ya, wouldn’t wanna be ya
Exactly. Even with NIL they could've done something and tried to control it but instead they decided to fight it. Lost court cases and states passing NIL laws decided it for them and at that point it was completely out of their control. This is more of the same.

More praise for CJ Gunn defensively and then an example of our over-helping (been an issue the last couple of years) which results in an open 3.
Looking forward to paying closer attention to Gunn on the defensive end Tuesday after watching these clips.
Is Ant Wright the Anthony Wright who played at Michigan? Does he break down plays by all the B1G teams like this?

That reminds me of the kid Crean offered from Florida that never made it to campus. Name escapes me.

It didn’t since it’s likely he’s waiting until signing day.
I wonder if it'll be like the TJD commitment in that he'll sign on the DL and then later announce which school without fanfare.

Rename the hall to Coach Knight Assembly Hall
I'd be totally fine with that but I don't know if the rich donor it's currently named after would be.

I think it would be poor form to remove Coach McCracken's name from the court.
I completely agree. McCracken Knight Court if they rename it?

Sad news. He was the coach at IU for about half of my life. I vaguely remember the '87 championship and my favorite IU teams are still the ones of the early '90s. I'm glad he decided to let his grievances with IU go and has been around the program for the past few years. He wasn't perfect but he was a great coach. RIP

Sounds like we’re going to be frustrated all year on that front according to Woody. Said there isn’t an emphasis on getting 3s but the kids need to shoot if they are open. I’d prefer and hope we have plays drawn up occasionally to get certain guys three point shots. Being out-volumed from three has been a huge problem of ours in recent years. We dominate the paint but still lose because we don’t make enough threes. Have to make threes in today’s game.
It's also important when recruiting shooters that the team tries to create 3-point opportunities. That's the type of offense a lot of players like to play in.

Playing in big name exhibition games against good teams will make you better, excite your fanbase heading into the season and is great publicity. I think that's the point.
Right, it's a chance to play against very good competition without having to worry about an L on the season record. I hope IU does some of these types of games in the future.

Just gut feeling but this seems more like plan B? I’m thinking plan A as it stands is wait till spring for Sanon or someone else who becomes available?
Sanon is not a PG.

Doctor came in yesterday during IU 4th quarter and turned it off. Said I couldn't watch IU football until next season. Shot my BP to high.
That doctor is doing you a favor. If Allen returns next year, the doctor should restrict you from watching it then, as well, to be on the safe side.

Oh, good, this thread is still going even after it turned out to be a big nothing burger with him paying a fine and the basketball team punishment being in practice instead of a suspension. I was worried for no reason that this thread might die.

Mods move where you want. Just have had some emails checking on me. Just got my phone back around 9pm.
I was in a Coma for 14 days. I just found out. Pneumonia turned into ards. I lost 1/3 of my left lung and 50 lbs so far in the 27 days I've been here. Guys don't wait to go to the doctor. I waited and they told me a few more hours and I would have died.
I was 100,% ventilated. Woke up from my Coma and pulled out my own tube. Or I would still be in the Coma today. Headed to Bloomington rehabilitation hospital tomorrow to start rehab for the 3 weeks at least. Learning to walk again at 56 sucks.
Kiss your loved ones every day. Thank whoever every day for that day. GO IU. Shot me an email if you wish. Good practice, taken an hour to write this out. Lol
That is scary. I'm glad you pulled through and survived but it sounds like you have some tough times ahead but I'm going you are fully recovered before too long. Even if it's painful it's better to be alive than not and I'm sure all of your family and friends would agree. I don't know you IRL but I'm happy you survived.

Don't know if this has been shared on here? One of my buddies sent it to me. Really long, but a lot of interesting insight.

The red quotes guy is very optimistic. He makes it sound like IU has one of the best teams in the nation, lol. It's nice to have that kind of enthusiasm from someone very close to or part of the program.

Literally nobody in this thread has said it was all the fault of the TB workers and the police.
Not a single person in this thread has said MM doesn't hold blame and nobody has said he shouldn't be punished.
Nobody has said "look the other way".
None of these things have happened.
He has weak arguments so he feels the need to knock down straw men.
