  1. dont want to turn this into a queen thread, but i dont know if you can say that yet. I think Queen is a better rated recruit than TJD was.
  2. Sarver ‘27 minutes left in second half IU 1-0
  3. That was an incomplete pass…. Barely. announcers are 🗑️. Keep bringing up a nonexistent targeting play. team looks pretty good. gotta call some ballsy plays and make some ballsy decisions to pull off this kind of upset. Onside kick, launch it on 1st down, punt on first. Whatever. Don’t get brownies by losing by less than you’re supposed to.
  4. Fine…. I’ll post it. Lost 1-0 Next game Monday Seton Hall
  5. IU slipped back in the rankings a bit to #10. They play Washington who is at the bottom of the top 25. 8pm tonight.
  6. Cubs call up P Shane Greene and OF Alex Canario
  7. I dont want to wait til february to win the lotto. I want to win it now and put it all on the Dolphins
  8. Sorry if i am wrong on this, but i think you're one of the people that get upset when people post in absolutes and that IU is getting a recruit and turns out to be wrong. No?
  9. I know how averages work. Thanks for the lesson though. If you really want to be nit picky, that's the NBA average. Some teams pass less and some teams pass more. Also that average takes in account of possessions that passes get stolen on the first pass. and a possession that an offensive rebound occurs elongating the possession. 😲
  10. Cubbies take 2 of 3 from the Brewers. On to the Reds as the brewers go home to take on the Phillies.
  11. You're the one who brought up tempo and conveniently tried to frame it. I just dug deeper into it with the efficiency vs tempo. 15 of your top 25 best off. efficient teams are ranked 100 or worse in tempo. National Champs were 204. for the second portion I was comparing the top 100 tempo teams vs how they were ranked last year, which i would say is relevant to the conversation. pretty glaring that only 8 teams that ended up in the top 25 rankings last year were in the top 100 in tempo. tempo=speed. speed=less time. less time is what we are talking about. It seems like speeding up the game does not correlate to the best teams in college basketball. Or at least 17 of the top 25 Ultimately does the 6 seconds really matter? Not sure. probably not to a significant degree in terms of what has been brought up. I hate the NBA. The product of a 24 second shot clock is dribble the ball up the floor. Pass it once. Twice sometimes Maybe a third time and a shot. This is the one thing i am absolutely against, as this is the one rule that would inch CBB toward the NBA the closest.
  12. I sat at the bar and had the app open for the duration switching between which games had my attention depending on who was on offense or in the redzone for the first slate of games anyway
  13. fan poll by TDH. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-football-fan-base-polling-results-on-win-total-qb-competition-hot-seat-and-more/
  14. using "top 50%" in college basketball is not a remarkable stat to use. Lets break it down a bit better According to Kenpom, of the top 25 most efficient teams last year... 6 teams were in the 100's: Marquette, Missouri, WVU, Utah St., FAU, Creighton 6 teams were in the 200's: Baylor, UConn, UK, Providence, OSU, UCLA 3 teams were in the 300's: Houston, Purdue, PSU in tempo Conversely, the top 25 tempo teams of last year were: 82 St. John's 103 Tulane 167 Long Beach St. 4 Alabama 1 246 UT Rio Grande Valley 363 LIU 257 Southeast Missouri St. 16 239 Portland St. 227 Milwaukee 333 Central Arkansas 188 Pepperdine 211 Buffalo 11 Arizona 2 83 Marshall 208 Bryant 111 Southern Utah 66 New Mexico 345 South Carolina St. 338 Coppin St. 299 High Point 332 New Orleans 20 Memphis 8 197 Wright St. 138 Cornell 273 Tennessee Martin 3 ended up in the top 25. Expand to the top 50 in tempo, you can add 4 more teams that ended up in the top 25 ranking. Of the top 100 highest tempo offenses 8 teams ended up top 25 ranking according to Kenpom.
  15. To quote @btownqb Bingo! I dont think it would lead to extensive sloppier play, but i think it would lead to more frequent bad possessions.
  16. It's a lot easier to find these kinds of stats for NBA than College Basketball NBA league fg % was .475 last year. I would guess that CBB would be around 45%, slightly lower, but still comparable. But again, no one is arguing that the NBA has more talent. They have better passers, better shot makers.... yes, yes they do.
  17. I think there are a couple of factors to contribute to that. No one is arguing that the NBA has better talent than college.
  18. Average passes per game according to below, league average is about 282 passes per game https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/passing Possessions per game NBA league average according to below is 99.96 https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/average-possessions-per-game-nba-this-season That is just under 3 passes per possession. Without even needing to look up college, i would venture to guess they average more than 3/possession.
  19. Worse passing wasn't mentioned. What was mentioned was LESS passing.
  20. I was watching it on my phone on silent... so it was my best guess lol.
  21. 2-0 I believe Sarver from just outside the 18.
  22. A lot of those good looks. Unfortunately not many on goal.
  23. So many opportunities. Fairly dominant performance in the first half, yet tied 0-0
  24. NBA better offensive product than College. I agree. having an additional 6 seconds on the shot clock does not correlate to having worse possessions.
  25. agree with the first part. second part is a little confusing. your argument is teams waste a few seconds to get into their offence and end up with late clock bad offense, but your solution is to take away 6 seconds to hope that teams produce a better shot quicker?
