Looking ahead I know they lose a lot of key players. What I don't know much about is their recruiting. I understand the best teams in the country have more size a more skilled players across their rosters. Is IU one or two elite recruits or transfers away from a title run?

Proud of the effort yesterday. Easily could have gone the other way but they fought to the finish. Those seniors deserve to be on the big stage at the sweet 16. The next game is tough. It will take a giant effort, but I wouldn't rule out the upset.

Not implying. Stating as fact he is too big, slow, an unathletic to play B1G basketball. I heard nothing about his work ethic either way but the result speak for themselves. He did not change his body at all in the time he was with IU. That would be a choice.

Sparks could have stayed, dropped some weight to become quicker and likely would have received more playing time on a team in need of size next season. He was not willing. Good luck to him back at Ball State.

It's all relative. If he wins and dominates IU for years to come everyone will be up in arms for missing out. If he fails, everyone will say he was the next Archie - success at a small school that did not translate to the B1G.

Misery loves company but when it's uk it's that much better. Now if purdue can complete their usual collapse.

Right decision for all three and IU. The fact they leave and it really doesn't change a thing for IU means they brought little to the table. Trying to project some great leap in production for any of the three is wishful thinking.

The portal is quickly destroying the game. The idea Malik would be unsure.on whether to stay or transfer because they had a bad season is insane. If you are getting that much playing time and that many shots, what more can you ask for? Stop fouling like it's q requirement and you get more of both. He was literally one of the top two options in every game. Stop whining, work on your game and lead the team next year. Or transfer to a team that is wining more but you get a smaller role. Makes perfect sense. Kids should be looking at IU right now and seeing all kinds of opportunities with few standing in their way.

This actually makes sense. They are apparently close. Not sure it's the best move but I can see this happening.

I'd expect a shakeup with the assistant coaches almost immediately. IU has to get serious about recruiting but also player development. Ware and MM improved over the season. Everyone else stayed about the same. Not good enough.

Previewing the coming days and weeks. - Several in the portal - Ware will declare for the draft - MM to declare, test his draft status or transfer - Lots of rumors around potential additions It's going to be a long offseason unless they can bring in legit talent. If they don't it will be an even longer next season.

CMW ejected. He's never figured out how to work the refs I'm college.

IU relying on Cupps and Gunn to finish this off and that's all you need to know. Trey hurt and out. Leal hurt and out. Newton arrived hurt and out. X missed significant time with injuries for the second straight season. What I don't need to hear is CMW excuses. They put together a very limited team and had a very limited season.

At least they have no chance to get beat by purdue again. They'd lose by 40.

Gunn and Banks added virtually nothing to the team this season and that really hurt the team. Gunn may return but I'm not sure what he brings. Banks has to be wondering how he's worse than what he's been watching from the bench but the reality is he's worse. So he's gone.

Getting crushed by a better team is not shocking. Watching the coach continue to run the same crap is unacceptable. Try inverting the offense. Put Ware up top and work through MM or let X drive . Do you have anything to muddy it up on defense? Or is it a matter of just accepting defeat?

Other team's are comfortable when playing IIU. Too comfortable. I'd put Soarks in and run their guards into pick until he fouls out. If your going to get crushed on the scoreboard make them pay for it on the court. I wouldn't sit back and watch them having a party.

Whoever is actually in charge at IU needs to request an autopsy of the program. Hire a team of former coaches to analyze why they can't find success over multiple decades. Is it lacking facilities? Is it NIL? Is it negative recruiting? Is it the trainers? Is it coaching searches? Is it those close to the program creating issues? Anything and everything related to the program should be reviewed because something is wrong.

CJ Gunn looked so lost he never saw that last three in the corner. Team defense at its worst. They keep saying Ware needs a touch. Nebraska double and tripling him because there's little risk outside of MM doing anything. It's not difficult.

Late first half collapse. Seems familiar.

No explanation for Malik and the fouls. Out of control and not smart. Hurting his team. Nebraska does everything quickly. The ball and players in constant motion. IU not quick enough physically or mentally. One team is playing. The other is thinking

The Leal drives to the basket are baffling. It's always a forced shot. Nebraska knows if they can get up enough threes and make just an adequate number IU will struggle to keep up with the scoring.
