  1. That Tampa 100 RBI club is very limited.
  2. 30 today. I hate when they tease me with a Reds row to get me excited and then drop the Tampa bomb on me.
  3. Has anyone else noticed the number of Cardinals fans hanging out on this board is significantly smaller than it has been in the past (last place, cough, cough, last place). .
  4. Paragraph #1: You're playing the hindsight game. A lot of players make a substantial Freshman to Sophomore leap. And, Kaleb Banks flashed some potential in multiple games his freshman season. Paragraph 2: Whether it turned out to be the correct decision or not, those that saw CJ Gunn in practice thought he deserved a Sophomore year. Guys like you and I didn't see him in practice. Your overall argument condemns Woodson for bringing Gunn back, yet you admit he had an advantage in the ability to evaluate and make a decision. You're using a contradiction to support your message.
  5. It will be interesting to see long they hold out on calling up Paul Skenes. He is absolutely dominating in AAA, and they can use a shot in the arm (no pun intended) now that they have hit the skids. If nothing else, he's going to put butts in the seats.
  6. In 1977, there were 9 total 20-game winners in MLB. In 2023, there was 1 (Spencer Strider). The AL has not had a 20-game winner since 2019. https://www.baseball-almanac.com/pitching/pi20wcal4.shtml https://www.baseball-almanac.com/pitching/pi20wcnl5.shtml
  7. The 20 game winner is going the way of the Dodo bird. The top of the rotation guys start 32-33 games and pitch 6-7 innings per game. Just not the opportunities there for them as it used to be. A starter trailing 3-2 after 6 is no longer in the game long enough to get the W for that late rally to win 4-3,
  8. LOL. Should have saved this one for High Score Friday, I likely wasn't going to get anyone other than Arrieta on Cubs no-no but was expecting it to be around 20%. It was the second square I completed, and it was a sign of things to come. For the 3rd square I did, I figured Jenkins would be about 10% on Cubs 2K. Miscalculation again. The Drabek square takes the cake. WTH? McCutcheon was my last square, and I was in a 'Who gives a flying f@*# at that point
  9. Umpire Joe West wearing an Astros jersey while behind the plate back in 1982. Would have loved to been in the stands for tat one.
  10. Give ma a 10. The Grid likes my Carl Furillo answer better than the one @IUFLA gave, even if it is same square.
  11. He's starting to put it together. Barring injury, I'm expecting a big year from him.
  12. Reds offense is anemic right now. Hopefully that bomb is enough.
  13. Hopefully, Montana State is on the schedule.
  14. An autographed baseball can be something of value or to display. A selfie can be framed and diplayed, but has little value beyond the person in the photo.
  15. What? You're not inviting Mickey Morandini to the party?
  16. It's Friday, which means High Score Challenge Day I got a 191. Totally drew a blank on Orioles/Twins.
