  1. It's going to be @ricovs @Parakeet Jonesfor the Championship in Kev's league as the top 2 seeds go down with little more than a whimper. The early Vegas line has Rico listed as the favorite at (-5.5). At one point, Rico was 0-5 in the season and had little hope for the playoffs, let alone the Championship. But, he took advantage of the generosity of his league opponents to snag Jonathan Taylor with the first pick of the 2nd round of the draft, and paired him with the dynamic Buffalo duo of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, and has ridden the tidal wave of points, pounding his opponents into submission virtually every week since that slow start.
  2. I watched Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, and part of A Christmas Story last week. Christmas Vacation is an annual tradition. Had not seen Home Alone in probably 10 years. I never seem to see all of A Christmas Story in a single setting. It's 30 minutes here, 15 minutes there, etc.
  3. Have zero interest in the college bowl games any more. Used to watch a ton of them every year. Not sure I will watch a single one until the Rose Bowl and the playoff games (not even sure which Bowl Games make-up the playoff this year).
  4. That was the Bengals last year. Didn't make Burrow a bad QB. Jones will be fine. Is he a Hall of Famer? No. But, would not be surprised at all if he won a Super Bowl or two in his career.
  5. I think he brings a lot to the table and the coaches obviously think he does as well based on his spot in the rotation prior to the injury. That said, where do his minutes come from? Phinisee and Leal are playing well right now.
  6. This should get a reaction on here.
  7. Bears and Seahawks playing in a snowstorm in Seattle.
  8. I have Boyd in one of my HSN lineups. But, in my ESPN playoff team, I picked up AB instead. AB's doing okay, so no complaints. yet.
  9. In my ESPN playoffs, I had Adams and Chubb yesterday. He had Taylor and Wentz last night. Advantage me.
  10. Mid-morning, I thought the house was a little stuffy, so I opened some windows. That didn't help, even brought a little humidity in. Having a houseful later this afternoon, so this was not good. So, I turned on the A/C. I live in Indiana and I'm running my A/C on Christmas Day. That's just wrong.
  11. Hey. I did not make the playoffs, but I am not a 'loser'.
  12. Well, not great, but I'll take the 14.56 from Tannehill. Could have been worse. Big run on the last drive certainly helped.
  13. 49ers (-3.5) @ Titans - No Pick Browns @ Packers (-7) Colts @ Cards (-1) Lions @ Falcons (-5.5) Ravens @ Bengals (-2.5) Rams (-3) @ Vikings Bills @ Patriots (-2.5) Jaguars @ Jets (-2.5) Giants @ Eagles (-10) Bucs (-10,5) @ Panthers Chargers (-9) @ Texans Bears @ Seahawks (-6.5) Steelers @ Chiefs (-7.5) Broncos @ Raiders (-1.5) Football Team @ Cowboys (-10.5) Dolphins @ Saints (-3)
  14. Lawrence and Goff are not available. It's a 10 team, 2 QB league. So, everyone has 3 QBs, and a couple of people, like me, have 4. When I picked up Hill when he was named starter, I held onto both Ryan and Tannehill just for this specific purpose. I didn't want to put a viable QB back in the pool. I'm absolutely loaded at RB (Cook, Chubb, Montgomery, Mitchell, and Mattison). Davante Adams in my #1WR. Pitts is my TE. My only true weakness at this point is WR2, and that's only because Godwin got hurt.
  15. And, I appreciate it. I enjoy the discussion either way. I would have felt better about my choice if you and @dgambillchose the way I was leaning, but I truly am asking for insight, not confirmation.
  16. Tannehill gets AJ Brown back this week, I think. That's a factor to consider, as well.
  17. So, if I don't, I'm left with two healthy QBs in a 2 QB league. If Ryan or Stafford catches Covid, I'm dumpster diving for a trash QB. Is Ryan that much of a better option than Tannehill? I obviously intend on playing Stafford, but leaning on taking the sure start with Tannehill and having Ryan in reserve in case something happens to Stafford.
  18. Wow. It's critical to check multiple times a day for news. Made some lineup changes to my ESPN team this morning. Just looked again and saw the Cook, who I have, has Covid. Thankfully, I have Mattison as well. Unfortunately, it's a 2 QB league, and my second QB is Taysom Hill, who now has Covid as well. I have Tannehill and Ryan on the bench. Kept Ryan on my roster even after picking up Hill because I didn't want anyone else to be able to grab a starting QB if there was an injury. So, my question to you guys is do I start Tannehill against SF tonight or Ryan against Detroit on Sunday. I like Ryan's matchup better, but I feel I have to start Tannehill since Ryan or Stafford (who is my other QB) catch Covid by Sunday. Being a 2 QB league, the only starters on the waiver wire are Cam, Z. Wilson, and Drew Lock (assuming Teddy is still out)
  19. They averaged over 100 points against the trio of Brevard, St. Andrews, and Milligan. What does that mean? I'm assuming it means that their Athletic Director's rolodex does not have a full compliment of other potential D1 opponents.
  20. Back in high school, there was a phrase involving the 'monkey' that was used a lot. But, it did not involve 'rushing' it. Never heard 'rush' used with monkey before.
