  1. The whole notion of "Edey is only good because he is tall" is looking pretty foolish. He is totally dominating a really good big man.
  2. What I saw he said that Woodson was starting to get more involved while Painter and Izzo had already been there.
  3. Easy answers. No, and definitely no. At this rate next year might not be top 15 in conference.
  4. Pretty much my exact feelings. I think if it were Dolson's decision 100% (which I don't) that barring a miracle run to end the year it might already be decided he is gone. And I would add to this that unless he really struck gold in the portal that next year is going to get very ugly.
  5. Yeah, they got it close towards the end. Memphis had the game in hand. But they do have Hardaway coaching so I should have expected it to get close.
  6. FAU is getting whipped by a Memphis team that SMU ran out of the gym last weekend. Dusty May being outcoached by Penny Hardaway is not a great look for him.
  7. The last 2 things you mention, the IU appeal and NIL are going to be there regardless of the coach. Though I would say that the clown show that he has created is likely minimizing each of those. And yes I do think a new coach could come in and recruit the same players. Likely more effectively as they won't have the previous 3 years of poor systems and schemes working against them. I can't imagine recruits are really excited to play the type of game Woodson has shown to put on the floor. From what I have seen Woodson is not doing a lot of recruiting anyway. Particularly in the case of Sisley. He has stated that Izzo and Painter both come to his games. I don't disagree that firing a coach after only 3 years is a great plan. But you have to consider more than that. Had it not been for TJD being there his first 2 years we are looking at 3 years of garbage. And it's hard to see next year being an improvement. So do you allow another year or two of failure to change the hiring and firing cycle?
  8. Woodson is now 27-29 in Big 10 games over his 2+ years. In what has been a very mediocre conference. With having one of the best players in program history for the first 2 years. I can't think of any logical argument that he has things headed in the right direction.
  9. Absolutely. There should have been a stop put to the stupidity before it became so common place.
  10. But it's much easier to make excuses than accept reality.
  11. Wonder if there has been any scouting or preparation for "the little guard."
  12. At least it's not going to be another double digit loss.
  13. Officials are trying their best to let them back into it
  14. Now even have the announcers saying they can't get over the hump.
  15. With their 2 best players sitting
  16. This is just incredibly painful to watch.
  17. IU fans complain about calls against anyone....lol.... Just moreso against Purdue.
  18. But that's what will happen. Watch the game thread. It will be constant complaints about the officiating.
  19. I saw Romeo get 63 against Jennings County and didn't play much of the 4th quarter.
  20. It does seem that way. It also seems like statements like the one below from that same article reinforce what was being said. “Coach Izzo and some assistants came down, and coach Painter came down for a home game. Both of them have been down this year to see me.”
  21. The guy was saying he knows of 3 families not happy with how Woodson is going about things. 2 of which he says should be slam dunks for IU. The only one specifically named was Sisley and the guy says Michigan St is the team to watch with him.
  22. Understood. The discussion was about future recruits. The 25 class mainly.
  23. There is considerable talk on another board , mostly from a guy considered to have inside sources that a lot of high school players, particularly in state ones are not happy that Painter and Izzo are in constant contact and going to their games while Woodson is not heard from or seen.
  24. Much like the current situation. Had Woodson not went to IU he would have never been considered for hiring.
