  1. Cheaney over Woodson......if we're down that far beyond the tier 1 and tier 2 guys
  2. https://www-si-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.si.com/.amp/college/2020/10/21/college-basketball-scandal-sec-recruiting-daily-cover?amp_js_v=a6&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQHKAFQArABIA%3D%3D#aoh=16157528458316&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From %1%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.si.com%2Fcollege%2F2020%2F10%2F21%2Fcollege-basketball-scandal-sec-recruiting-daily-cover
  3. I agree with your assessment, clean in this example is relative to what you believe 😉
  4. I've heard the same on Scott Drew as well, but there is nothing online that I could find that points to crossing the line. I imagine there are stories out there about every coach.
  5. Clean: Brad Stevens, Mark Few, Billy Donovan, John Belein, Shaka Smart, Jay Wright, Chris Beard, Tony Bennett, Mike White, Scott Drew, Porter Moser, Chris Mack, Nate Oates, Eric Musselman, Andy Enfield,Thad Matta, Bobby Hurley, Dane Fife, Steve Alford, Dana Altman, Rick Barnes, Gregg Marshall, Anthony Grant. Define 'clean'?: Bill Self, Will Wade, Kelvin Sampson, Bruce Pearl, Rick Pitino, John Calipari
  6. Although he is only 145-100 as a coach and probably near his end as well at Arizona State 😆
  7. Why not go with Indiana ties, who last played for Bobby Knight in 1994. Bobby Hurley (Indiana Team - Blue Chips)
  8. Can't agree more on both your points......Pitino is same age as Belein at 68 which worries me. However you are right, Pitino would bring back a lot of hysteria to the Hoosier brand, both good and bad. But there would be a lot of excitement either way.
  9. The age scares me a little at age 61, and when you think about San Diego State you think defense and rebounding........offense and shooting not so much.
  10. That's why we need to go all out and full speed on Brad Stevens.....money shouldn't be a barrier. It's all about making Stevens and his family happy and comfortable! If Boston goes out in round 1 or 2, Celtics may be looking for a new voice after 8 years.
  11. Damn, I think he will go back to his Alma mater at Minnesota
  12. Even worse watching Brad Underwood and Chris Holtman in the Big Ten Title game, just to rub it in our faces!
  13. Just another retread name to throw out there who' is "available" 😆 Steve Lavin (age 56) former UCLA and St. John's coach 226-133 (.630 winning percentage) .650 at UCLA 1 Elite 8 4 sweet 16 appearances 8 years out of 12 making Tourney, (5 of 6 at UCLA)
  14. Yeah I heard the opposite....now I need to go down that Google rabbit hole!
  15. Same here.....can he recruit, transfers are nice but not sustainable at a place like IU!
  16. Just check out Thad Matta Wikipedia and try and compare those Titles and Final Fours vs CAM
  17. Yes, hard to believe Matta is ONLY 53 years old as well!!
  18. Thad Matta 5 Big Ten Regular Season Titles, 4 Big Ten Tourney Championships, 2 Final Fours and winningest coach in Buckeye history. Record of 459-154 and 24-13 in NCAA Tournament
  19. Thad Matta.....is still ONLY 53 years old and heard his last back surgery was a success. Indy/Butler/Indiana ties as well
  20. I would love to see what Gonzaga does playing in a real legit conference!! Where would they finish in the PAC-12?
  21. Tier 2: Tom Izzo(61) - Actually 1.a, but think he's a longshot $4 4 mil/yr . Jay Wright(59) - 1.b, East coast guy and longshot; $4.4 mil/yr. Scott Drew (50) - Baylor coach $2.8 mil/yr.; Butler/Valpo Ind ties Chris Beard (48) - Texas Tech coach, RMK ties; $4.6 mil/yr. John Belien (68) - Age a deterrent; proven winner 26-13 in Tourney
  22. Well my Tier 1 is quite different: in no particular order Mark Few (58)- Gonzaga only making 3.1 million (show him the $$) Billy Donovan (56) - I know he's in year 1 with Bulls $6.0 mil/yr. Thad Matta (53) - State of Indiana ties, barring he's healthy Brad Stevens (44) - We can dream can't we? Tony Bennett (50) - $4.2 mil/yr. (Show him the $$)
  23. Thanks for the welcome!! Used to live in Bloomington area 2007-2013. Been an IU fan growing up in the 80's when Smart and Alford were winning us a title.
  24. Same here, I thought Thad Matta was in his 60's with his health issues
