Shivers is rated as a 4-star transfer by 247.

He is ranked as the 17th best overall transfer, and #1 athlete in 247’s transfer portal player rankings.

Love it. I like speed. Haha...I expect the staff to land another this week too. Great thing about portal (and I know there's bad) you can reload quickly.

What a fantastic addition!  Congrats coaching staff, team, fans and Shivers.  I'm not sure we have has back like this in a long time.  Can change the game directional.  Cross between Coleman and Howard?  Exciting!!!!  Already, the offense got better.  This kid can cut the corner, spread the field and break through tackles.

Get some help on the O-Line and possibly a QB and the transfer portal has been great for the Hoosiers. Coach Allen might get this turned around faster then some think.

Absolutely.  Look what Mel Tucker did at MSU with transfers. A weakness can quickly become a strength because there is immediate PT available.

Yeah i think you might see an MSU turnaround with the Hoosiers

For one thing, the chip on the shoulders should be back and the grind to prove everyone wrong.  Allen is still a young head coach and he is first and foremost a motivator, one of the best.  He never had to motivate when the target was reversed.  Hope their is growth their and with the players.

Yeah i think it will be a very motivated Hoosiers team next season.

Dude hits the hole, yeah? I love it. We need backs that are good "in a box" .. backs that "get all thats there".

Plus had 22 catches this year.

He's a really good all around back. He's got speed but he is absolutely not afraid to lower the boom on someone. This is when he was just a little freshman playing against Bama:

Oh yes. I think so too. There are a lot of RBs that would be #2 on the depth chart behind Tank Bigsby. This kid looks like the really strong version of Nyheim Hines and I am ALL for that.

That's a good comparison. I think he has a little more power than Hines but not quite as elusive. He has the capability of being one of the best big play guys in the B1G, we just need to get him the ball in the right places.

The Auburn fans I know love him and wished they would've used him more. He was mostly a 3rd down back and caught passes out of the backfield. They're excited to see what he can do as a Hoosier.

I've mentioned it before, but I've got some pretty strong familial Auburn ties and would consider them my number 2 team (football they're more like my 1b team). I would agree, he wasn't utilized very well in the new offense.

Shivers wants Nix to come with him, hope he gets his way.

Name of the game, right now. Get your athletes out in space with the ball, consistently. We did none of that last year.

It seems like the 2 best players to do that with were Matthews and Ellis. When they were both out it hurt.
I’m glad to see more players like that coming along. Sounds like Lucas (the RB that just signed) will be similar.
