IU will be a good team for MSU to get out of their funk.  Sparty by 20.  This one could get ugly.

I don't think we have quite turned the corner culturally...We seem shocked when we succeed and resigned when we fail...We simply are not a program that imposes their will on the game...That is the recipe for late season slides...

I just have that sinking feeling that the slide has begun and I am not sure that we have enough on court leadership to stop it or even slow it down. I hope that I am wrong and we rise up through the adversity but that has not been to M.O. for quite some time with our program

Players just having fun at Indiana! We haven't seen tournament in 4 years they have to keep the tradition going.

I look at this game and the following two games after it as nothing but an amazing opportunity for IU.

We have the chance to earn our spot in the Tournament. The five suspended guys, assuming they play, have the chance to earn everyone's respect back.

I'm glad we're playing three ranked teams. We'll learn a lot. Maybe we lose all three, maybe we surprise people and win a couple. We'll see.

If the Windy City 5 are back...

And if we play defense like we did against Purdue and Ohio State

And if Trayce can get the upper hand on Marcus Bingham

And if XJ can control their PGs

We can win...

Not real sure about the Kopp/Gabe Brown or the Stewart/Max Christie matchups...Those might hurt us...Of course we could go Race on Brown but that leaves a poor rebounder (Kopp) against a pretty good one (Hauser) and we HAVE to win the board battle...

I do like "Windy City Five". I might have to reference that at some point!

This one is bigger than what I thought. IU is 12 and 0 quad 3 and 4, and 4 and 7 against quad 1 and 2.  BYU has 9 quad 1 or 2 wins.

Not sure why you picked BYU, but this is where I have a problem with the "quads."  The teams that formulate IU's quad 1 and 2 are vastly different than the teams that are forming BYU's.

BYU also recently lost to a 7-16 Pacific team.  Not a team in the Pacific conference, the Pacific Tigers.  They also have 7 quad 1 and 2 losses.

I don't have a solution to this problem; I'm just complaining about it.  Give BYU's schedule to IU, and we likely only have 2 losses on the season, both of which would have come at the hands of Gonzaga.

Regardless, even taking the quads out of it, we have much better wins than them, and they have much worse losses.

The reason I selected BYU is for the exact argument you posted. IU have put themselves in that position to be judged by a committee that is far from perfect.  Right now BYU is 1 of the first 4 out.
