IU Scott
Reds bullpen has to be the worst pen I have seen in a long time. They actually got a quality start from Mike Minor with 2 runs in 6 innings. The one came in the 7th and gave up a 3 run homer.

Bullpen last 4 games 15.1 IP 23 runs, 7 of those was given up by a position player but still brutal

How about only having 1 hit in the last 11 innings
IU Scott
Charlie Morton of the Braves has a no hitter through 5 against the Reds. Reds got their first base runner in the 5th with a walk to Bottom but got picked off. Yesterday the Refs had 1 hit and 1 run so now their bats are cold to go along with a terrible bullpen. jv1972iu
For me....baseball is dead. The game is boring. I have tried to watch and I can't get beyond a couple of innings.
IU Scott
Reds finally got a hit but trails 1-0. Reds took out Castillo after only throwing 94 pitches in 7 innings. With this bullpen it probably will be a disaster. Edited July 3, 2022 by IU Scott
IU Scott
Braves took out Morton with a 1 hit shutout after 7. Just SMH with this stupidity of what baseball has come to be.

Reds scored 3 runs on 4 hits in the bottom of the 8th to take a 3-1 lead.

IU Scott
Hunter Green proves that a pitcher needs to be able to do more than throw 100mph to be a good pitcher. He has a 5.89 era and now has given up 21 home runs. So far tonight he has given up a 3 run homer in the second inning.

If Greene had been drafted by a competent organization, he would be an all-star this year.

Came in as a rookie reliever in 2006. The fans would regularly ooh and ahh as he'd hit 102 or 103 on the radar gun. He blew people away for a year or so before hitters started figuring out fastballs were all he could throw. After 4 years of trying to blow batters away, his elbow gave out in 2010. Three surgeries later, he retired.

Brew Crew in Cincy game a few Fridays ago and Green was on the mound. He had good stuff. His fast ball was 97-99 MPH and off speed pitches 87-89 MPH. He didn't give up much, but he gave up a 3 run HR after 2 straight singles and a solo home run. In fact all the runs scored in the game were on HRs. Several situations late in game when in the "old days" a bunt would have been laid down and wasn't. Votto pinch hit with runners on the corners and down 5-4 with 2 outs in bottom of 9th, but he could only produce a long fly ball to the center field warning track. I liked the ball park. We got good seats on the 3d base line about 12 rows behind Brew Crew dugout.
IU Scott
I would guess Reds won't score much tonight against Max Scherzer. In 4 career starts in GABP he has pitched 27 innings with a era of 0.
