No they aren't. Just where IU pays to house players. You could live there. So many dorms closed is why TJD and Armaan get to live off campus this year. IU has bought out a few apartment building for the up coming year. So much so upper classmen are having a hard time finding housing.

This past year my daughter lived at the Stadium apartments but see is moving to the other side of town next year

According to the article on IndianaHQ.com it is privately owned.

Thank you, sir.

Well. One can't argue to location if one is a student/athlete basketball player at IU.  Within walking distance of both Assembly Hall, and Cook Hall.

Why does it seem like people are taking the "Completely guilty until proven completely innocent" outlook to the whole team chemistry issue?

Does it make you feel better about last season being able to attribute losses to some unforeseen strife?  Do you have something personal against one of the players commonly mentioned in such situations? Do you just like the idea of drama?

There's one objective fact that keeps getting completely glossed over in favor of the mysterious "team chemistry" issue: injuries.  Like it or not, we had a metric assload of injuries last year.

I can see the typical responses: "Next player needs to step up".

Only so many holes you can plug at once, and some that can't be plugged.  We basically opened the season missing DeRon and Jerome.  Race was out for a big chunk of the season.  Rob missed the start of the heart of conference play.  DeRon came back, but was maybe 75% of what he could be.  Romeo was at maybe 85% most of the year.  He didn't lose any time, but there were at least two times I can remember Morgan leaving games due to pain in his repaired shoulder; yes, he came back, but what did that do to his effectiveness? Even if it only reduced his effectiveness on one particular move, we played a lot of very close games; one move by one player could have been the difference.

Also, there were players recruited to play immediately: Romeo, Rob, Jerome. There were players recruited that may have the ability, but weren't ready to contribute regularly: Damezi.  If a player needs a year or two to develop, they need a year or two to develop.  As much of an instant-gratification world as we live in nowadays, some things still take time.

"Well, injuries didn't stop Michigan State or 'Insert Program X here'"

Tom Izzo has had more than two offseasons to build roster depth.

"You can't use injuries or the fact that Archie has only been here two years as an excuse."

And you can use team chemistry as an excuse? Why? Because it gives you the illusion that there was something controllable that occurred, which allows you to place the blame on specific individuals for either causing it or not preventing it? Running around thinking "It's this person's fault! They're responsible!" sounds like making an excuse to me.

Look, everyone can believe whatever they choose to believe is true.  I don't care one bit.  It just grates on me that it appears that some people are looking for controllable, identifiable reasons that were the the sole (or at least primary) cause of last season, when there might not be any.  Could there have been some chemistry issues? Sure, but I don't think we had any more than any other program.  And if we did, that's only one tile in the mosaic of reasons that contributed to last season.

End soapbox.

seems like this would have been aimed at me, so this is what i'll say... it doesn't make me feel better to attribute last year to anything in particular.  i'm doin fine.  my opinion is that we under performed and didn't have good team chemistry.  seemed obvious on the offensive end.  you are right that i and we don't know much for certain, but there were a ton of rumors about where the behind the scenes stuff was coming from.  usually when there's that much smoke, there's at least a little fire.  who knows?  maybe it's Archie's fault?  my personal opinion is more the behind the scenes stuff.  nope, i don't have anything personal against any of the guys, but think some are better teammates than others.  injuries?  sure.  okay.  i still say that almost all teams face injuries and we had our core guys most of the time.  banged up, sure.  i still think we had plenty of talent on the floor for most games to look a lot better than we did.  sorry this is an Armaan Franklin thread and this seems a little out of place, but wanted to give my response a go.

I like what Chris Beard has done in his time at TT.

Final Jeopardy question.  What does Chris Beard have to do with Armaan Franklin?

Correct Final Jeopardy answer:  Absolutely nothing.

Alex Trebek: "I'm sorry Mr. Dong.  Your answer tying them together is incorrect.  How much did you wager?  All of it?  That's too bad.  Better luck next time."

Sorry, wrong thread.

We get it. An education from PU does not allow for fully developed reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, or basic chat forum navigational acumen. It's not entirely your fault.

I'm just going off reports and what others have said about Franklin, but he just seems like one of those under ranked Buzz Williams, Bob Huggins, Xavier type of guards that nobody heard about and then becomes a really, really good college player and borderline pro as he develops.

I can't wait to see him as a senior with Jordan Geronimo playing next to him and a rotation of Leal and Galloway rotating in a 3 guard lineup. WOW! Maybe Trayce loves IU so much he stays lol. That's a lot to look forward too!

No comparison other than a name that came to mind.....Edmond Sumner.  Or Shelvin Mack from Butler might be a little more realistic as he has had a cup of coffee in the NBA n Sumner looks like he might stick around a while now that he's healthy.

If Armaan puts in the effort I could definitely see him as that type of player in the NBA. I don't know if he would get drafted but I could see him making a g league team then absolutely in a couple years work his way onto a roster as a defensive specialist that could knock down shots. He has the athleticism and mindset to do it....I love his heart.
