Purdue better hope Braden smith is good enough to start right away. I think he will be good but not sure about starting as a freshman good.

With the players they are losing, especially Ivey I see them taking a big step back next season. They have a couple of decent young players but none of them have shown a whole lot up to this point.

As much as I despise Purdue…. Painter and Co. usually has them playing at a competitive level with or without key players…

Just remember….we have 2-3 players you guys wanted

Furst (although Dunscom dominated him in an AAU game)

TKR….and maybe Morton

You'll be fine. Furst and TKR can't get their own shot,.... neither can Gillis or Edey. That would be my worry.

The talent on your roster will be fine.

Minus Ivey I don’t think your team next year will be any less talented. But you will miss the experience for sure. Talent won’t be the issue, which Painter usually gets his best teams to play more cohesively that way anyway. Will still be a tourney team.  Too hard to guess what any big ten teams will look like for next year.

I bet RP will go to Purdue

I’m torn on that tbh. I’d take him if we had more scholarship flexibility but I’d really prefer a guy like Pack or Llewelyn from Princeton (who we almost landed out of high school before he had a bad AAU tourney and took the Ivy League offer instead).

I honestly think the senior class this year wasn’t that great from a leadership perspective tbh. It’s been discussed on our board that they didn’t have a Kramer/Rapheal Davis/PJ Thompson. Hopefully we’ll have that next year.

Hmm not sure what that has to do with anything.

It doesn't change what I said. Newman is underwhelming, TKR no one has any idea what he can be, is he another Brooks or something alot better like TJD, plus the jury is still out on Furst. Like I said a couple of decent young players but that is all they are for now.

Also the guards are a lot weaker right now. Take away Ivey and Purdue's backcourt looks pretty underwhelming. Which as we all know is the key to success in March

I’m starting to wonder if CMW isn’t better prepared for the Portal than most college coaches? After all seems a lot like free agency in the pros!

Transfers hurt your APR. I hope he gets out of that mind set once he builds his team. Can't miss the tournament because we have a revolving door. I know it wont happen, just saying.
