This is a fun story, about the guy who went from zero to fame because of a beer can and Tiger Woods.

NIL deals will happen this fast, too.  Instant fame, even if only temporary, will mean instant money.

That's a fantastic story.  Even us old out of shape guys can be famous and make lots of money!

Did Michelob really put this guy on a can or did the internet?

Holy. Crap.

This isn't really sustainable is it?  How many top rated kids do not pan out like expected.  Just handing out that kind of money seems nuts.  For comparison, Trevor Lawrence averages $9.1 million a year playing for Jacksonville.

Wow!  Almost $10 million for a 4-star quarterback.  Just, wow.

When NIL became official, I thought some smart school would buy a starting five for, oh, $1 million per player, of $5 million total.  I thought that would bring in the #1 class and maybe a Final Four.

Now $25 million may not be enough.

My head tells me that the "market" will level off.  These guys getting in on the ground floor better get it while the getting is good.

Depending on recruiting service he's a blend of 4 and 5 stars and some have him as the best QB in entire class. Funny part is word down in Gator country he left a couple of million on table to join Miami over Florida who had higher offer.

Notice who else was involved. LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss,etc....

Right. I saw Florida offered $11M.

How much will Ruiz pay the cannon fodder on the kick coverage team?

Khristian Lander mentioned in the NY Post today.  He talks about his fashion lines, and how he worked on his "signature look" coming out of the tunnel before IU games.  He had photographers in place to capture his look while at Indiana.

This is what Dane Fife was complaining about.  He saw this as it happened.  He told kids basketball should come first, not preening for social media.

And maybe that was the problem, or at least part of it. But, I guess coaches nowadays have to put up with things like that...

One of the all time great lines I've ever heard on TV was Cris Carter on the ESPN NFL pregame commenting on a player's outfit, which was a crushed velvet purple tux, during his "tunnel walk."

"Where's he going? Prom?"

😂

This reeks of insecurity, which explains his awful shooting.  Total lack of confidence.  Turn off the social media and gain confidence from putting in work, not getting likes from strangers.

KL had to be photographed coming out of the tunnel because it was the last he was ever seen

Just reading that, it's pretty apparent KL will make more $$$ on the NIL than he'll ever make with basketball.
