Another thread mentioned Jalen Blackmon as an elite 2021 recruit. Looking at an article I found that he was rated #32 in 2021 by http://www.coast2coastpreps.com/page/show/2588590-2021

I saw that Caleb Furst is ranked #5 in that class. https://247sports.com/Player/Caleb-Furst-46050303

Anyone seen him in action or know much about him? If he's legitimately good enough to be ranked that high IU better be on him sooner rather than later.

I've seen him play. Very athletic.. runs the floor well. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of work he had done in the weight room. He had muscle definition that doesn't come natural.

It's hard comparing kids that won't be on campus for 4 years. He plays on a REALLY good HS team, so there isn't a ton of offense ran through him. He took a visit at IU the day before I saw him play.

I watched Furst play against Keon Brooks Jr. His team got killed, but Caleb really held his own. Multiple times he put nice post moves on Brooks Jr. He also hit a number of 17 footers, has a nice jump shot. He is skinny and long. Good dribbler, def needs to bulk up, but he is young. Really nice spin move in the post to his left. Kid will be a stud for sure, but Painter has been on him hard from the start. He plays for a private 1A school, so not a ton of competition but they do play a number of 4a schools. Defensively he held his own as well. I have to keep reminding myself he is only a freshman. Kid may still grow a few inches.

ISP, assuming this is you, color me impressed:

A prophetic analysis of our coach and program.  I'm tickled pink to have you here as a member.

That's me. I've neglected the blog and podcast lately as most of my free time goes to my one year old son who committed to IU yesterday and actually playing basketball. I mainly stick to Twitter at the moment.
