All things being equal, your argument may be valid. However, you don't know a kid's situation. Maybe the kid is not a good student and a degree will never happen. Maybe he needs to support family as soon as possible. For you, the decision seems logical, stay in school. For a kid coming from a family that has never had any money, $50-75,000 is a lot.

You can't make sweeping judgements based on your own experiences. Your values, and what you hold as important may be entirely different than what these kids want.

But a kid like Herron won't make the $50,0-$75,000 if he is not drafted and sent to the g-league with a two way contract.  If he goes undrafted and don't get invited to a training camp he will make between $19,00-$26,000.

That is my point.  Scott is all "twitter-pated"!

One of Anothony Winchesters cousins was my best friend growing up.. he said Anothony would pocket 80-100,000 a year because the teams he would play for would cover most of his costs.

Yeah, I got a high school buddy whose son plays in Germany right now.  He makes 6 figures and his expenses are paid for.  Not too shabby at all.

Aren't you in your mid-late forties?  You aren't wrong but you are projecting your feelings onto these guys situations.  They are chasing a dream and gambling on themselves.  And going undrafted really doesn't mean much.  It seems most 2nd rounders don't stick with the team that drafted them anyway.  They'll play in the summer league to showcase their talent and hope for a training camp invite.  If that doesn't happen there are plenty of opportunities in various pro leagues all over the world.

Just depends on what foreign pro leagues they get in Get in.  Get in a goo done that pays well then you could be set but some leagues you have trouble getting paid on time/

The way I see it, getting paid to play a game is gravy no matter what you earn as long as you make a decent living.

PJ Williams for sure. I haven't heard of anyone else yet

You  mean PJ Washington. He has declared but hasn't hired an agent. Gilgeous-Alexander is scheduled to announce his decision tonight live on SportsCenter with the assumption he is leaving and hiring an agent. Wonder if anyone else will declare or transfer...?

Sacha Killeya Jones is transferring.  No surprise that he announced this decision hours after they landed EJ Montgomery. Seems like the usual roster turnover they have every year. Cue the whining about "being too young" from ole Cal once again.

It doesn't help that he doesn't know what to do in the huddle when his team faces a little adversity...xD
