If we land Romeo in combination with louisvilles issues, I wonder how much it will help with recruiting in SE Indiana.  Seems most in that area are louisville fans first.  Could potentially help locking down the state.

Generally not a whole lot of high level D1 talent down here.  Mid major down to high D2 talent aplenty though.

And now we all sit and hit refresh until Mile's story drops.

I think of it as a fun piece, rather than a story. However. I will say this.  While kept out in the cold in terms of Romeo's recruitment down the stretch.... sources who learned of the Mr. Basketball vote earlier this week, and were kind enough to share with me.... also felt very strongly about Romeo and IU, which prompted me to put this piece together.

I'll be back with my piece, shortly.

Hmmmmm.....im affraid most of my jokes would get me the ban hammer.

My favorite thing about this site is that the mods here are very reluctant to use that hammer no matter how idiotic one can be.  Unlike the old Peegs site where any criticism of say Bill Lynch was an automatic ban.  Or unlike the nutjobs over at BB who ban people not for anything they said over there but rather for asking people on this site if a rumor that was started on BB had any validity.   Some real keyboard warriors moding that joke of a board.

Best thing I like about this site besides the people who really know what's going on....is that imagine this concept. Act like an adult. Be an adult. Have an adult conversation. Anything else you get run. Works pretty easy which is why I haven't returned to any of the sites since 3.0 started.

While I rarely agree with the majority over here I will say that most on here are far more intelligent than most on the other boards.

This is why I post primarily on this site, and read it most often.  It's nice to be able to talk to other fans and even fans of other teams like, you know, actual human beings who happen to root for your rival.

I mean, honestly, on one of the other sites the posters literally "mooo" at Purdue posters sometimes.  It's beyond embarrassing.  Though to be fair, the Purdue equivalent of that site is just as bad.

Not to jinx it...but after tomorrow night, who’s the next to pop? If so, will it be quick? Or after AAU?

About 80 pages back there's some good stuff I think. Judging by the tea leaves I don't think most will be going away in the next 30-60 days...as most fans do in the off season. Just a hunch (and I know nothing) we might feel like Kentucky or Duke for a change as it relates to recruiting this summer. Good times ahead!

_______________________________________________________________________________

I hear the drums echoing tonight.

But he hears only whispers of some quiet conversations.

He's coming in. 7:00 p.m. tomorrow night.

The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide him to I.U.

I stopped an old man along the way.

Hoping to find some long forgotten words about our ancient memories.

He turned to me as if to say: "Hang in there boy, he's there waiting for you".

"It's gonna take a lot to take Romeo away from you".

"There's nothing that a Jayhawk or Commodore could ever do".

I bless the rains down in New Albany.

Gonna take some time to do the things I.U used to be.

The Jayhawks cry out in the night.

As they grow restless, longing for some Romeo Langford.

Romeo knows what he must do.  What is right.

As sure as Assembly Hall rises like a Cathedral over Cook Hall.

He seeks to cure what's deep inside. Wanting to put an end to what we've become.

It's gonna take a lot to drag Romeo from I.U.

There's nothing that a Jayhawk can do.

I bless the rains down in New Albany.

Gonna take some time to do the things we used to do.

Hurry Hoosiers.  He's waiting for you.

I hear the drums echoing tonight.

Very nice my friend!

There are some interesting Kansas things indicators, though. Probably absolutely nothing, but his prom outfit was definitely a powder blue and those shoes were ruby red, to my mind. Those are akin to Kansas colors and ruby red footwear certainly has strong Kansas connotation.

Retweeting some random person’s “please go to Kansas” tweet seems odd.

I dunno...I am trying so hard to stay confident we get the nod...
