Pacers vs Cavs Series

My final thoughts on this series are that it was quite clear the NBA wanted the Cavs to advance. To say that the Pacers weren’t the better team is pretty comical.

When was the last time that a team went on to win a playoff series with a -39 point differential? That’s gotta be some kind of unprecedented statistic.

This was the first time since at least 1984 to have that wide of a margin.

So true. Am I the only one who decided to stop thinking fondly of Mark Jackson after that series? His defense of it all was pathetic but I loved Van Gundy calling it for what it was.

As a broadcaster Mark Jackson has always been a huge, huge "star defender". He almost always backs the stars when it comes to calls. Sometimes it's completely over-the-top. Not sure if it's just who he is, because he's a former player (though not really a star) or if it's because he wants to get back into coaching and you never know where you could end up and who you could be coaching. Not sure, but can't stand him as a broadcaster.
