His defense of it all was pathetic but I loved Van Gundy calling it for what it was. As a broadcaster Mark Jackson has always been a huge, huge "star defender". He almost always backs the stars when it comes to calls. Sometimes it's completely over-the-top. Not sure if it's just who he is, because he's a former player (though not really a star) or if it's because he wants to get back into coaching and you never know where you could end up and who you could be coaching.
