ILL will be a tough out on Wed evening. Their RPI is sitting at 50 right now, little lower than it has been all year, but Minnesota is at 16 and we would get them in the 2nd rd if we both win.

All of these games will be broadcast on BTN in addition to BTN2GO app which is awesome. Basically, if you have BTN in your TV provider package, you get the games on the BTN2GO app, as well.

I'm still thinking Stiever gets the start. We took 2 of 3 against ILL back in late April. In the Friday matchup we got beat 3-2 when our offense was struggling and Miller was still hurt.

So... stumbled upon something awesome.....

ACC baseball tournament!!!! They allow 12 teams to get in, split into 4 pools- 3 teams a pool. They're seeded by how they finished in the league.

Pool A- 1, 8, 12

Pool B- 2, 7, 11

Pool C- 3, 6, 10

Pool D- 4, 5, 9

Pool play starts on Tues... they play through Friday. 2 games per team against the other teams in their pool. Winner of each pool is seperated into 2 games the "semifinals" with the winners facing off on Sunday in the Conference Championship game. Pure awesomeness.

For reference... if the Big Ten were to do that it would look like this:

Pool A- Minnesota, Michigan St, NW

Pool B- Purdue, OSU, Rutgers

Pool C- Michigan, Iowa, Neb

Pool D- ILL, IU, Maryland

Michigan beats Iowa 2-1 in a pitchers duel.

Michigan starter got hit with a line drive in the 2nd and went out. He'll be able to pitch later in the tourney though.

Bottom of 1 for Purdue and OSU.. OSU is up 2-0. They forced the PU starter to throw 30 or so pitches. Purdue is threatening in the bottom half of the inning though.

We are starting Stiever this evening as expected.. they are going with their Saturday starter though.. in April he went 7 innings gave up 7H 1BB and 1ER. Miller didn't play in that game and we won on an Ashley walk off HR.

Not a big fan of the 10:00 game time for the Hoosiers.

The SEC last game the other night started at 11:15pm. Hopefully our game starts on time

Unfortunate we blew a great start by Stiever. He should have been through the 6th with runs. (None of them were earned regardless). He would have started the 7th as well with like their 6, 7, 8 due up.

Not sure who we'll start today. Maybe Beauchamp or Herrin honestly and save Milto for tomorrow. I get that its win or go home.. but we're already locked into a 2 seed unless we win this whole thing.
