Noah Vonleh isn’t in Chicago’s plans and won’t receive a qualifying offer, according to Johnson. Vonleh will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

He might be out of the league next season... Pretty big bust for a top 10 pick.  (And no, staying another year at IU wouldn’t have changed this.)

Agree... I'd love for the Pacers to hand a million to him for a year and see what happens though

Bringing the Pizza King conversation here where it makes more sense...

I suspected that not all these Pizza Kings you all are talking about are really the same brand and may not be remotely similar.  A quick search on Google turned up the following:

The Muncie area Pizza Kings: http://pizzaking.com/

Warsaw area: http://www.pizza-king.com/

The ORIGINAL Pizza King in Lafayette: https://theoriginalpizzaking.com/

Rockville: http://www.amorepizzaking.com/

Kokomo: http://www.kokomopizzaking.com/

Terre Haute: http://ballyhoopizzakingterrehaute.com/29320

Jeffersonville & New Albany: https://soinpizzaking.com/

Alexandrian & Tipton: http://www.cardinpizzaking.com/

Winimac: http://pizzakingwinamac.com/index2.htm

Rushville: http://pizzakingofrushville.com/

Evansville: http://www.pizzakingevansville.com/

...and there were a bunch more.  It took awhile, but I finally figured out that the site listed as the ORIGINAL Pizza King, really IS the original and lists a whole bunch of Indiana locations: https://theoriginalpizzaking.com/locations .  If your Pizza King is not listed here, it's not a true Pizza King.

...and here is the original story of Pizza King:

Pizza King Inc., originated in 1956 in the heart of Lafayette, Indiana. Owner Wendell Swartz from Lafayette had an idea to open a pizza restaurant. Wendell’s vision and passion for culinary expertise created the perfect ingredients of Pizza King’s “secret recipe.” Come 1966, when Wendell was ready to sell, whom better to buy the business from him, then his trusted employee who managed his books, Don Schutz. 5 stores were now established when Don bought the business, and he knew he could grow it even more, and he did. Providing customers a fun, relaxed, entertaining experience. Pizza King Inc., is now a family treasured business throughout over 70 plus locations in Indiana. Continually bringing you our delicious, customer satisfaction, fresh wholesome ingredients. We pride ourselves on our specially made ingredients just for us! Fresh ground pepperoni, pure pork, specially made sausage, and our special blend cheese. Where ever you travel and see our Pizza King logo, rest assured you will experience that same great “secret recipe” taste and value you have come to trust and love. Thank you for letting us be a part of your family tradition for over 60 plus years. The Proof Is In The Taste, ~ The Schutz Family ~

All these years, you all had no idea you were eating Purdue pizza, did you?

Where Is the Best Pizza in Indiana?

Grew up eating Flamingo Pizza, in the Miller (on the Lake) section of Gary. Traditional thin crust.... cut into squares, without asking to be cut into squares.

Loved the Cafe Pizzeria too.  As a student.... in the late '60's Nick's Old English Hut did not make their own pizza.  When you ordered a pizza at Nick's they had it made at the Cafe Pizzeria, and it was walked down to Nick's.  I think at that time, both places were owned by the same owner.

Where I'm at, Monicals and Bobe's is best and they both made the list.  Monicals also cuts pizza into squares, which I also like.

Pizza King in New Albany used to be a regular stop on the Fouls family dining list.  But, the quality slipped drastically about 2-3 years ago.  And, several other new unique Pizza places opened up in the area to provide some competition.

Nice pic.  They must have the A/C cranking because he's wearing a hoody in Dallas in summer lol.  Must be cool inside.

I'm not surprised.  I don't hate him, but I don't like his game.  He lacks competitive spirit.  He's tall and athletic by God's grace, and made good money off that.  But, if you want competitors on your side in the playoffs, all I will say is "LOL" when it comes to NV.   Not my kind of player.  The fact that Chicago released him tells you all you need to know.  I wish him well in turning his game around, but I suspect he's too nonchalant for that to ever be a reality.

My son in law is from Madison, Indiana originally but lives in California now. When they visited us a couple of years ago he was excited to see that there was a Pizza King in Angola so we ordered out one night for old time's sake. Unfortunately, the pizza fell way short from what he remembered. I haven't gone back since as there is an Italian restaurant near us, Caruso's, that makes excellent pies

Am I bad person if I say that I am not all that into pizza anymore?  I ate alot of it as a kid and into college.  But, it's kind of boring now.  If I do get it, one of my favorites is adding giardiniera to give it some taste and kick.  If my family, especially kids, didn't like it, I wouldn't get it more than a couple of times per year.

One of my least favorite is deep dish.  Giordano's is so overrated to me.  It's a tourist place but a whoop de doo otherwise, IMO.  Thin crust with some kick and taste is the way to go IMO.

xD

I'm still a pizza nut. Grew up largely on the B-town pizza joints, Mother Bears, Noble Romans, etc., would hit Chicago and Gino's East, and now am stuck in Texas where the ONE type of food Houston can't do right is pizza. Pizza is to food as basketball is to entertainment.

Last time I had pizza king it was in evansville a couple years ago and the pizza was not as good as I remember but the hot stroms were on point.

The best pizza on that list for evansville should have been Turonis.

Absolutely this. I made a post in the Trayce thread about Pizza Kings pizza being awful. Another great point you made is Turoni’s. Fantastic pizza. For some reason the newer Newburgh Turoni’s doesn’t hold water to the Eville one. My buddy swears that the ovens have to be ‘seasoned’ which I’m skeptical about but can’t argue against. Maybe somebody else can comment on oven ‘seasoning’.
