IU Scott
I would like to announce that my son has been accepted to ISU and USI and I am very proud of him. I have two kids and Seth my son is my youngest. My daughter is a sophomore at IU so next year both of my kids will be away from me. He has visited both of them and after his visit to ISU last week he has decided that he will attend there.

Friend of mine since second grade and I ,chose radio for last three years in high school. Then we went to IU. I graduated with a degree in business, while he got his radio and tv degree. I spent time at WIUS ( now WIUX), while he worked at WFIU, while students at IU. Later he went with NPR. Spending over 30 years there. Eventually he originated, produced and participated in several of his own radio shows, before "retiring". Now he is an independent communications specialist. One of the main reasons he picked ISU was the communication program but the distance was another. We are two hours away from Terre Haute and over 4 hours from Evansville. FKIM01
The interesting thing is, when she wanted to visit ISU, I had visions of the drab campus I remembered from the Larry Bird days, but it was really nice when we visited. Terre Haute seems to me in general, kind of a dirty town, but the campus was updated and beautiful...much different than it was in the '80s. BobSaccamanno
Congrats to you, Scott and your children. ISU has received a ton of state funding over the past couple of decades. They've made big capital improvements to their school in that span. People may be pleasantly surprised by ISU now.
