hoosiertildeath
I used to listen to many IU Broadcasts over WOWO Ft. Wayne back in the day when they sent their signal in all directions and at full 50,000 Clear Channel Watt Broadcasts ! Unfortunately , I do not recall the man you mentioned ! May God be with his family and those who knew and loved him !!

What I liked about them was that they let the callers talk and they actually talked back and forth with the callers. What I hate about sports talk today is that it is all about the host and not the listeners. even if they take callers it is just to ask a question and then you get the host answering for 10 minutes. jv1972iu
1976...I was living in Athens, Ohio...foothills of Appalachia...listened to that undefeated perfect basketball season via WOWO. Also had the good fortune to be in Bloomington and in attendance for IU's overtime win against Johnny Orr's Michigan squad...Rickey Green and company.
