^^^  When it first was written, Brown Eyed Girl was Brown Skinned Girl.  Later, Morrison changed it to Brown Eyed Girl.  Probably a good move on his part.

This is a great thread, and it really got me to thinking what a great time in music.  Every genre was absolutely killing it.  Rock spanned from the Beatles to the Stones to Led Zepplin, Country had Patsy Cline, George Jones and Glen Campbell.  Motown Diana Ross,  The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, then there were guys from Elvis, to Buddy Holly, to Roy Orbison, the Righteous Brothers, the lists are endless.  It really was a special time for music...one we may likely never see again.  Great thread!

Great addition about the Temps.  Share this story....  my Junior year at IU.  Sitting in my room at McNutt.  I have two of my high school friends  knock on my door. Saying that the Four Tops are playing that night at Depauw's  homecoming.  And would I be willing to drive there to try to see them, since I was the only one who had a new car that was able to make the trip.  We had no tickets. But..... I said... why not ?   We all jumped into my brand new Chevrolet.....and off we went.  Got to their campus.  No place to park.  So we parked right in front of the Auditorium.  There was a line of kids a block long.... waiting to get in.  Got out of my car... as if we owned the joint. Walked up the stairs.... just as the doors were opening. Walked right in. No one asked for a ticket. And were escorted to front row seats. A memory.... I will never forget.

There's not a guy from my generation who doesn't like Stevie Nicks!  She was my dream girl!

OK CC, took me awhile to get back to this, but for everyone in (my generation, The Who 1965) here is one of Stevie's earliest before Fleetwood Mack. Not quite 60's.  Gotta Love the album cover!!
