Justin Smith’s dad last night

Recommended Posts

rut row raggie..  I think his dad may be frustrated by the style of offense that Archie runs.  Seems Morgan and Romeo will get the most shots out of anyone on the team, however other still get a good amount of looks its just a matter of converting them.

Other players seem to have a green light.  Al, DG, and Rob get plenty of looks.  Won’t bad mouth Justin for what his dad is saying but a divided team won’t make it very far.

Yikes. Hope Smith doesn’t feel like that. I could understand it I suppose.

He was shooting a lot more early in the year. But being very inefficient. Dialing back the attempts has really boosted his efficiency and helping the team. His time will come. Next year especially when he’s the upper class men.

Really hope Smith doesn’t leave

There is a chemistry issue that keeps rearing its ugly head. Go back and watch body language.

This times a million.  His efficiency has increased since we stopped running plays for him.  Turnovers have decreased and his PER has been on the rise over the last couple of games.

Are you saying what I think you are saying.

At this point in his game Smith is not a scorer, nor should he be one on this team.  Did Mr. Smith watch the game yesterday when we played without Romeo and Juwan? We did "diddly poo offensively."

Someone posted early in the season that Smith seemed to be a little chilly around Romeo.

I know you mentioned in the past that Justin seemed upset and was shaking his head every time Romeo was introduced or talked about.  Seems you were probably right.

On the season, Justin is third on the team in both shot attempts and scoring. His defense, rebounding and 8+ points per game are serving a very valuable role for this team.

Family members should stay off Twitter and message boards. Nothing good can come from it.

Has he watched Justin try to isolate this year? Not pretty.

Archie is going to go to his best players to help him win games. It's not rocket science.

Why do parents feel the need to come out publicly like this?  smh  This helps absolutely no one.   Not to mention the damage it does to the program recruiting wise.   Justin has a bright future at IU.  Shut the hell up Dad!!!

Go Hoosiers!!!

I know right if he doesn’t torpedo our recruiting Justin looks poised to start on a team I think can be a title contender in 2 years.

Smith didn't take shots behind 3-point line when he was open just like McBob. He doesn't have good enough ball handling skills to blow by defenders and get to the rim either. Maybe he can try 15-feet mid-range jump shots in the future, but as this point I don't think he has enough confidence to do so.

He had to wait for Romeo (who shoots over 50%) and Juwan (who shoots just under 70%, 45% from 3) to finally have an off game shooting (against the best defense in the country, on the road) and then he sends that tweet out, what a joke.
