(Obviously not as thick) but TJB has a longer neck winwingspan is pretty much the same as well... Interesting picture. Are we sure it hasn’t been edited (photoshopped). Almost looks like Keion is standing on something because his knees and subsequently his shoulders are up higher than Trayces! Anyways I look at Trayce as prototypical 4. He isnt exactly a big big. He himself will have issues with bigger 7 footers.

Stromboli
Guys I've posted this before but I'll add what I've seen. Going into his junior year, Keion was being billed as a 6'8" PF. It made sense, he's the tallest kid on the floor. He honestly didn't look great in the role, and everyone started thinking he was all hype, not worthy of his decently high ranking. It didn't help that when he played Romeo at the Forum Tipoff, Keion might have been a centimeter taller, but he was much, much smaller. Then AAU happened. I went to watch him in Westfield. The Meanstreets PG, Isaiah Thompson (Purdue commit) got injured, and so Keion was put in a ball handling role. He thrived. He controlled the entire middle of the floor, was rangy, made passes, looked to get Trayce involved, and then got in his shots and putback dunks enough that he averaged something like 22ppg in April, and was recognized as one of the top performers. This is when things really took off for Keion, because we got to see him play more of a point forward type role. He was the 3rd tallest guy on the floor behind Trayce and Mulloy (Carmel kid, Butler commit). I think that is one of the real reasons Keion transferred to LaLu; he didn't want to play the 5 anymore. In my mind, Keion is a playmaking wing. His ball-handling isn't guard level, but his passing and creating is. He creates opportunities through constant effort, keeping his head up, and smart play. Will he be able to guard a quick guard? Erm. I don't know. I've seen highlights where he'll let a guard get around him and just to time the chasedown block. I don't think he'll be a liability. Where he may not be immediately excellent on the perimeter, I think he's a plus-defender as inside help.

IU Scott
Was just watching the Assembly Call on YouTube and they was talking about how some fans were acting on social media after the Nebraska game. They were getting on how fans lose it after loss and those fans need to realize that how this could effect the team that you say you care about. I guess after the game Arman Franklin's mom tweeted that they will have to learn to get thick skin next year because of how the fans were talking about players. Keion Brook's mom replied something like they are showing no mercy so fans need to be careful what they say on social media. If you really care about the program and want these great players to come to IU please think before hitting send. They know most fans are not like this but those vocal minorities put a bad look toward our fan base.

StLHoosier
Like I’ve said before, every fan base has them. The bigger the school, the larger number of fans, the larger number of crazies. In KB’s case, he’s got UK, UNC, MSU, us, etc in his final. Every one of those schools has a segment of the fan base that would require thick skin. It’s just a part of it. Hopefully they don’t take that as the majority of the fan base’s view point.

I'm sorry, but if the product on the floor, and especially the effort, is very poor, then fans have a right to be critical. The players the other night played lifeless ball with no pride, and that is not acceptable for IU. Now I don't agree with singling out individual players and bashing them, but coaching and the team in general is fair game.

Correction: that is not acceptable for an athlete playing a competitive sport, which actually serves to underscore your point even more. And, I +1 your post times infinity. Criticize the team, the play, and the effort, leave the personal crap out of it. That’s a pretty good barometer in life, no exception should be made because one is a disgruntled fan behind a keyboard and a screen.
Fundamentals
Couple thoughts on social media and parent response. Social media is not mandatory participation, is regularly personal and subjective. If one doesn’t want to see it, delete the app. It’s easy to see the progression of following posts about oneself and developing a habit, in high school and earlier, of checking it, then when getting to school, the habit is developed, and now it is not “can’t wait until ________ arrives on campus” it becomes “can’t believe such and so did X” 3 alternatives: 1. Keep reading and experience unnecessary or irrelevant critiques from anonymous people who don’t really matter to the individual 2. Delete app/habit, at least in season 3. Play for school where fanbase is not as intense To highlight the idiocy (my own dumb posts aside, be gracious HSN), after the NCAA Football Championship a few weeks ago, there was a #fireSaban hashtag going viral from that ungrateful fanbase. Saban could either lick his wounds and be offended or realize it was idiots without a clue making these posts

Saban could either lick his wounds and be offended or realize it was idiots without a clue making these posts At some point bad behavior by people digitally cordoned off from the people they’re assailing needs to be met head on and addressed. I agree some people are more sensitive than others, but everyone’s different, including their varying thresholds for things they encounter in life. This notion that someone should have to voluntarily “delete an app” or otherwise exclude themselves from a decent resource or useful platform because there are assholes out there in contstant attack mode doesn’t real make much sense. Nor should the student athletes play for lesser programs where the fanbases are less intense. Much like any situation there are three sides to the story and the truth and best path is likely somewhere in the middle. What I would encourage is for the effected families to not take the bait. Find channels for information and discussion that more closely align with their values and what they want to read. What we need to do, as the more level headed, reasonable voices of our own particular fanbase is not to dig our heads in the sand and tell people who wouldn’t respond to bad acts by bad actors to just move on, we need to continue to root out and push back against those who identify as part of our fanbase and gently remind them that there are other, more constructive ways to voice opinions. It is not about being critical of the play but it is when you make it personal about the player or the coach. When people say the player is a bum or he should have his scholarship taken. It is saying that the coach should be fired after 48 games is what people should watch saying. One of the guys on the show who is a sports writer who was around Indiana when we were recruiting Oden said that Oden really liked Davis and IU. Oden said one of the reason he did not go to IU was the fact that the fan base did not like Davis and let it be known. He did not want to go to IU if Davis had a chance to be let go.
