If the starter gets hurt I could see him being a more stable backup option, but with a week to prepare I see Penix and Tuttle as the guys to start games. I know Ramsey has been practicing with the first team most of the time, but even if Tuttle had the job as soon as he stepped foot on campus, I still think they would have done that. It would have been crappy to boot Ramsey down without seeing Tuttle first. I think the spring game will be a good indication on what the QB competition will look like. I have a hard time believing Ramsey puts us in a better position to win that either of Tuttle and Penix, let alone both of them.

Leathernecks
Tuttle was the main reason I was excited to watch the spring game. In my mind, they're sitting him out because they know he's a stud and that if he plays it will remove all doubt about who will be the starter in the fall. They want a little mystery to keep competition up. A guy can dream, right?
Indykev
Mike Miller @MikeMillerHT 6h6 hours ago Just to clarify, Tom Allen called Tuttle’s situation a “short-term sickness.” Per Allen, it’s something that Tuttle will “100 percent be able to recover from.” Not sure I like the sounds of that.
