Crester.  In regards to your kitten analogy, you must be forgetting that Cats (particularly those from UK) are scared to come onto the court at Assembly Hall.

"Not anymore since we suck so bad because we are too soft!  The Cats had no chance under Crean!  We should bring back Crean!  Any M$%^W Fu#$@%s that disagree with me is a F#$^W$4 idiot! "

That is how that thread would begin and end. 🙂

Are there any rules about how to distinguish between a complaint and a discussion that includes criticism?

The team struggles to shoot, has no size and no depth in one of the best power conference in CBB this year.  It's a physical conference. IMO, the team is just physically worn.  IMO, that is facts that merit some discussion.

A complaint is Archie can't coach. romeo was way oeverrated. So and so should leave because he doesn't understand how to play and won't hustle.

If you scroll through the feed you find some interesting back and forth between Glass and the BOT at their meeting

Shoulders concludes with this: "We all understand that patience is going to have its limits at some point." #IUBOT

Yeah, I think reading through that, Fred is definitely on notice as are the basketball and football coaches.

It is the old pornography definition...we know it when we see it. 🙂  But what you just wrote is pretty good.  The last line is more of a vent, the one before it is legit criticism.

Yep it’s definitely crazy that Archie took over a roster that went 7-11 in the Big Ten with the three best players of THAT underperforming team being gone. I admit, I thought a Romeo Langford was going to turn us right around, but sitting back and thinking about that situation along with how underwhelming Romeo has been in areas of his game that we thought he’d excel in (and yes he is still a special player) there’s no way Archie has everything he needs to be back on top yet.

Back on top? How about just beat Rutgers. Don't want to have overblown expectations.

Agreed. I wasn’t saying he should be back on top as early as now. You’re right, we have smaller baby steps that we can’t even get over right now as it is. I just used back on top as a general future expectation.

Does anyone believe that what we gained in the Freshmen class was greater than what was lost?  I tend to believe it was.  Langford along brings as much or more than Johnson and Newkirk alone.

Now, if we believe that, then my basic expectation of the tournament should not have been crazy.  That is what I hate about articles like that, we heard the need to be patient with Crean for almost a decade.  It is always "they need more time"...and Archie may.  But I expect to see some wholesale changes after this year.  If players are a problem, they need to go.  If coaches are not getting something done, bye bye.  We absolutely cannot have another year like this.

Yep for sure, that’s exactly what I hope happens and for the most part expect to happen: problematic players who need to go. Archie needs to nip this quick and rid of anyone or anything that may be causing some type of issue amongst players that are affecting their effort and approach to the game. I can definitely see our roster looking waaay different next year.

At the 2:25 mark Archie gets asked about Fred Glass saying the program is in a “serious rebuild” and what he has to say about the state of the team and what he needs to do to be successful. Archie’s answer is long and hits the nail on the head, talking about “the big picture” and what he has to do and what a lot of people may be asking about. Program is in good hands, he just needs time and more recruiting classes to come in to create the culture he is trying to build.

Mile posted in the MSU thread that we should expect Devonte to be available Saturday.

I feel the need to bring that over here.  Because, if he plays, that irritates me.

Why? If he served his time. We still dont know what he did or didnt do. If it were weed he wouldnt play saturday. If its the other thing I heard ( a rumor I wont post ) he served his time, let him play.
