Baseball opens in Memphis

Milto

Gordon

Sommer

Our 3 day starters... I don't think Gordon and Milto surprised anyone, but Tommy is a little bit of surprise beating out Beauchamp and Saalfrank. (Mercer might just like them out of the pen more).

I think Connor Manous is a guy we look to for the mid-week starts. (at least until UK and UL)

We would have some serious depth and experience coming out of the pen in Beauchamp, Saalfrank, Kreuger, and Lloyd. (160 innings combined between those 4 last year)

We do play two weekends where we will have already played a game that week. 5 game "weeks" are rare in college. Grant Sloan or Austin Long would probably be looked upon to start those types of games. (game 3 of the weekend)... maybe one of the FR if they can prove themselves.

Tigers get a run across in B8 and IU counters with one in T9 ... going to B9 with a 6-1 lead.

Final:

* * * R H E
* IU 6 8 0
MU 1 3 2

Next game in about 30m.

Go Hoosiers!

Feed was great. Gorski, Lloyd, and Milto were too much for Memphis in game one.

Hoosier bats have stilled.
Saalfrank comes in to work the bottom of the 6th; walks the 1st Tiger and a double has runners on th corners with no outs; and a double scores 2; Tucker relieves Sloan; DP and GO ends the inning.
Need some bats ato string some hits together.

After 6:

* * * R H E
* IU 0 3 0
MU 3 6 0

Go Hoosiers!

T8 - Houston gets a lead-off single followed by 2 errors that lets Houston score; Crail scores on Kaletha's SF (Walker advances to 3rd) Walker scores on Lloyd's SF and GO ends the side .  IU leads 6-0 going to B8.    GBR!

* * * R H E
* IU 6 5 1
MU 0 5 2

Go Hoosiers!
