Jemarl Baker from Kentucky transferring.

He would be a good kid for us to get. Solid defender and a 3pt specialist. I figured the backcourt was too crowded at UK. That said I imagine he will go somewhere he can be the man...and not have to fight out playing time.

He's mentioned being homesick a couple times, will probably go back out west.

Hauser bothers down to 4 schools?  Wisconsin State Journal today (April 23):

"It appears the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball program is one of the four leading candidates to land transfers Sam and Joey Hauser.

The siblings made the shocking announcement last week that they were leaving Marquette. Joey Hauser told CBS Spots’ Jon Rothstein Tuesday that he and his brother will visit UW, Iowa, Virginia and Michigan State.

Both players will have to sit out the 2019-20 season, per NCAA transfer rules. Sam Hauser will have one season of eligibility remaining, while his younger brother will have two."

Just when it looks like Wisconsin basketball was set to go back to where it truly belongs they probably land the two and we go back to struggling against UW again.

We'll see.  This was a Wisconsin paper giving the story a hometown spin.  Perhaps UW is a very distant 4th of those four.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just looked at the transfer portal.  Contrary to some saying all the talent is gone, there is still a lot of potential out there.  Many guys that were 4 stars coming out of high school.  Rabjohns just said last week there were some transfers the staff was looking at but wasnt going to mention names because it may not matter(as in still going after LQ and wat) .  He also said LQ was 50/50 but probably Memphis.  These crystal balls are all just following suit of each other.  If they all stay the same 2 hours ahead of announcement then I'm sure CAM will be after unsaid transfers.

Every single year there are very good transfers that come available late.  As in August.
