Dude was a solid college player but come on. He has nothing going that translates to the NBA. I understand the man-crush because he played hard, but I've never bought into the hype. He's getting absolutely exposed in the summer league. It would be 10X worse against NBA regulars. GBI regulars were babbling about his +/- but I'm sure that took a hit last night and his stats are abysmal...shooting a whopping 35%. Maybe he can have a reasonably successful foreign career like Jordy Hulls or Nick Zeisloft, but that's about the ceiling I see for him. FKIM01
That's the first step to Freddie being an NBA starter next year. 1

Seeking6
Yogi seems to have changed his mind. No deal in Dallas. Something is certainly up...either he thinks he can get more $ or more playing time I guess.

5fouls
Risky move on Yogi's part. Hope he has a solid offer from another team. The Mavs have been good to him over the last two years even if their offer here wa a little light.
Hoosierhoopster
^^ Yes I was surprised by this. Mavs have been good to him and he's blossomed there. Obviously more going on then we know, and maybe the bench 2-guard role was more of an issue. He should find a home, but yes seems kind of risky. He was interviewed on a local Indy station yesterday and talked how he was looking forward to staying in Dallas. he said there was no other place that he would rather be at than Dallas. FW_Hoosier
I’m kinda glad he’s leaving. Dallas gave him a good offer, but that backcourt is just too crowded right now. Hopefully he can catch on somewhere else that will offer him a bigger role. Definitely a risk to pass that contract up though.

5fouls
I like Dallas. Dirk, Cuban, the whole situation. Sacremento? A wasteland of a franchise. Years away from contending. Hate to see Yogi go there.

FKIM01
Sounds like Yogi will land on his feet. I'm going to guess this is as much about Yogi wanting to play the point as anything.
Hoosierhoopster
New Orleans would be a good landing spot. Cleveland, maybe, they are rebuilding for the future and do have a couple of good young pieces. Sacto, well, hmm, but playing time and money should be there.
