Romeo is day to day with a minor back injury, that is why he left during the ohio st game.  Maybe that is the news?  That's only news I have heard today.  Romeo IS expected to play tomorrow according to Archie

I thought it might be about Romeo or someone transferring or maybe about the Arkansas player not playing which could effect IU in the NIT

Yeah the Arkansas player I guess is declaring, hiring an agent and sitting out the NIT.  hadn't heard anything about a transfer yet

Going into one of his breaks DD said he had some interesting IU news but after the break there was nothing.  Have anyone heard of any news regarding IU basketball today?

Here's the timeline. News broke on twitter that Romeo had a back injury, he jumps to conclusion that Romeo might not play NIT to get healthy for draft....and 3 seconds later Archie is quoted on twitter that Romeo is likely to play.....so DD didn't have any interesting news.

Imagine living in that brain? Goes from 0-60 in 4 seconds every minute of every day.

When you fall in a bottomless pit, you die of starvation.

How can it be. Dan Dakich continues to bury himself deeper in that pit, every time he opens his mouth about IU....  Heaven forbid that ESPN schedules Dak for the NIT game on Tuesday, in Assembly Hall.

That is why they put a mute button on the remote.

Dan keeps complaining about 20 years since IU won. Why does Dan get a pass, he was on the staff when all this crap started. Because he was named int. head coach? He should have been fired with Sampson.

He doesn't. Not in my book anyway. To me, he's the moron who somehow managed to wind up with a losing record despite having the B10 player of the year and the B10 freshman of the year in the starting 5.

Yes, he's the one who cleaned out Sampson's potheads. But he did it after the season. If you're going to wait until then to gut the roster, may as well use the talent those potheads had to win a few games, which at least two of them (Ellis and Bassett) were more than capable of.

Here's my thing on Dakich. You can't get credit for cleaning out the bad if you knew darn well how it was going to down to bring them in the first place? The logic is twisted.

It's the like the old joke about a guy who will help you find look or find your wallet after being the one who stole it.

And in his flawed passive aggressive nature....he tries to blame IU fans for anger or reactionary comments when he says something. He feigns shock when others are getting worn down by his approach....and then he questions their overreactions. Classic passive aggressive behavior.

Agreed, and Kind of what I was getting at. If he would have cleaned house day 1 and then posted a losing record, fine. But if you're going to keep guys on the roster through the end of the year, don't act as if it was an impossible situation, because that team was capable of a lot more than 3-2 to finish the regular season and flaming out in the first round of the BTT and NCAAs.

I also heard him say that with an IU win tonight, he will be working the Thurs. night game at IU as well.

Why is it that networks like for commentators to have past relationships with college games they work?

Cheap ESPN.  They only have to pay Dak for the gas to AH and back.   Just look at all the great commentators ESPN has gotten rid of the past few years. All in an effort to save a buck... as their viewership continues to decline.

And... we get stuck with the Dakithch.  Oh how I want our Hoosiers to win... and hate the fact that, sans the NCAAT, we may get Dak for two games this week.  Yuk  !

Hey eddy, if you are in the front row.... show Dak that he is number one .
