I know it is about football but we have had a lot of discussion on this topic.

I see maybe a mid 2nd round pick. He'll have to do it the old fashion way and work at it to get and stay in the league. Much like Yogi.
FKIM01
I would not be surprised to see Carsen taken late in the 1st round. Two months ago, I would have guessed undrafted.

Still said no way someone is burning a 1st round pick on an undersized scorer who isn't a facilitator. Fair or unfair. I'd be shocked if his name is called in 1st. Steubenhoosier
Spending a first round pick on Edwards would be quite the gamble, imo. What are you gonna get? The guy who shot lights out for 4 games in the tournament, or the guy who was average, at best, throughout the year?

Where I see them having problems next year will be outside shooting which was a great strength this year.

It's all a guess for me, but lots of guys at the end of the first round are gambles. The surefire pros are long gone by that time. Most mocks show him late first to early 2nd round. Why not, at least at Indiana, they can always return and get a free degree if the NBA doesn’t work out.

If you’re Carsen and you know you just had an incredible run and improved your draft stock considerably, you have to strike while the iron is hot. He was never going to be a top 10 pick with his limitations so why not jump now and start making money?

Cline and Eifert actually were the best percentage guys from 3. Purdue will still have shooters and I expect Wheeler, Stefanovich, and hopefully Newman to lead the way. IU878176
Everyone in the first round is guaranteed two years of pay. The last pick, number 30, will receive approximately 1.6 and then 1.9 million. What suprised me is that in the last 6 drafts 90% of 31-45 picks received a one year guaranteed contracts. The minimum is around 850k so they get at least that. If Edwards wants to play ball full time this is probably the time to strike. Odds are he will end up in Europe most of his career but somewhere between 1.6 and 850k is a decent start.

He can score it and will have more room to work with in the NBA. Do not see a future all star in him, but do see a guy who could have a good NBA career as a scoring option / role player.
