He's thrown 40 innings this year right at 4 ERA. He's a FR... 91-92 on the fastball. Up that to 93-94 with his sinker, change, and breaking ball. I like what we have with him. btownqb Posted May 18, 2019 Author Report Share Posted May 18, 2019 Kind of a cool moment for me to watch... we win with a K by Bierman, the team rushes the field. They go crazy and all that stuff... The camera shows Mercer.. hes sitting up against the back wall in the dugout.. no ones around him, hes not smiling. He is watching. He has sun glasses on (as always) but I feel like if I could read his they'd tell us how meaningful this is for him. He is an IU guy. Hes mentioned multiple times how in his grandparents home they had a picture of Jesus and a picture of Bobby Knight right next to each other. He's said this is his dream job.
