Yes sir, a 180. But I have the model without the Missile pods under the wings.   :)

I could always tell whether an ATCer knew his craft by listening to how they used an aircraft's callsign...if they started with the actual aircraft type, like "Cherokee" or "Navajo" (PA31 😉), they knew what they were doing...if they addressed them with the generic "November" I had my doubts...

I took the time to learn them when I first got into the field...

The wife and I Flew from my little grass strip in Switz City Indiana Saturday to Sioux Falls South Dakota. WTH is this radar thing they want up there? Who needs that crap? lol

Anyway the people up there are so dang nice and friendly. Grabbed a Lift ride from the hotel back to the bird this AM. Did I mention how nice the people are? ... Lift driver wouldn't SHUT UP. She worked in the airlines for 40 years, Flight attendant. All she could do was tell my wife (TOTAL NON PILOT but great passenger... until today) how she should learn to land if I die in the air.

Wanna guess how my next 4.5 hrs went? .... No honey, I am fine. No honey I didn't move funny. Noo Honey I didn't grab my chest... I had an itch.. WHY are you giving me baby asprin sweetheart?

THANKS lady!

Just had 2 fighter jet pass over my house. So low I probably lost some shingles. WTH?

Probably flying an IR or VR route designated for military aircraft...we like to scare the civilians once in a while ;)

I was working a mid shift at Eglin AFB once and the Army Rangers were doing low level night jumps just south of Holt, Florida...A guy who lived in that area somehow got the RAPCON number, called me, and said if that ^%#^##^ airplane (C-141...big and kinda loud) passed over his house again, he was going to take a shot at it...

I had to call the county sheriff over it...

So I’m sitting in John Wayne airport waiting for my flight and what do I see take off? I looked up because the engine sound was different, a Dauntless Dive Bomber from WW2. You don’t see that every day!

And to think today is the anniversary of the day after Midway!

Out visiting my California family, they live on the backside of the mountains overlooking LA. Sitting outside there is a pair flying up and down the mountain ridge. Someone better than me at plane spotting might able to identify? Down around Louisville there is an air show every year for Thunder Over Louisville that happens 2 weeks before the Kentucky Derby. I’m not very into planes but they always have some cool ones. If you’re in the area it is worth checking out.

Flying to Clark Regional (KJVY) can get pretty intense! uncontrolled Class D, Paramotors competing with 8 mil$ lears for airspace. In certain times of the day, if your are a pilot, ya better have the shoes laced up tight! I flew on once and they parked me. As I deplaned they said... umm we need you to move, we have a cessna citation coming in with 4 VIP SOB that need this spot. .. I looked around, thought of my $40k airplane and said... I guess they should have flew faster. then went in and bought a snickers bar from the vending machine. Cup of water from the faucet! just to wash it down.

Now if you want a challenging, yet fun quiet grass strip to go pee at. Lee Bottom 64I (six four India) is a bucket list airport to land at. Last of the Mohican's (sadly spell correct wants this to say "morticians", NOT cool man NOT cool!) type vibe !!!

A guy on my staff lives adjacent to the grass strip TS07 (Tango Sierra Zero Seven). It's a "flying community." He doesn't own an airplane (he was a controller) but he does own a small hanger...he lets his neighbor keep his PA32 (Lance) in there...

The parties at his place are epic...
