CauseThatsMyDJ
I think we should just make it an entire sea of Tom Crean big heads moving forward.
milehiiu
eddie. I am hopeful the big heads are a thing of the past Was never a fan.
5fouls
I liked them. Gave our crowd its own personality.
FW_Hoosier
If they’re gone, I won’t really miss them. But I never understood the hate for them. It was fun for the students sitting behind the basket, and I know I always enjoyed getting my hands on one. Seems like a pretty dumb thing to complain about. And for the traditionalists, it also seems like an IU legend liked them... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/lookit/2016/12/1/13805496/nba-ncaa-photo-happy-isiah-thomas-crying-michael-jordan-sign
FKIM01
I thought they were funny but I won't cry if they are gone. I read somewhere that they had been retired. Love the idea of a bunch of Tom Crean heads though it will never happen. Funny idea!
jblaz13
The "big heads" will return to the IU crowd once Miller has IU consistently at the top of the B1G, except they'll be the natural variety. I could care less about the cardboard cutouts, but they did give the IU crowd somewhat of an identity, better yet multiple identities
IU Scott
I never had a problem with them at all and it was just a fun thing for the students. My kids high school has them and they seem to enjoy it.
Seeking6
Could care less either way if we have them. If people have fun with them...cool. But given that Archie is all business? I don't think you'll see those anymore.
Guest
Not a big fan, but didn't bother me either....as long as I wasn't sitting behind one of them.
tdhoosier
There are more more important things to get worked up about these days....so I don't really care. I will say that as a rule of thumb that I don't like copying other schools 'traditions'/gimmicks. I don't know why, but I get a little annoyed when other school's student sections jump up and down or extend their arms at opposing players making an inbounds pass like they are at Cameron indoor. Get your own 'thing', you don't need to copy a bunch of dorks.
Coach1K
I was never really a fan of the big heads also not a fan of the student section chanting Christmas carols during the holiday games.
milehiiu
Also very tired of students/fans continually chanting "Air Ball", after an opponent's missed shot.
