We're pretty active with rescue animals in Hamilton County and some of the stories and scenes we've witnessed are nothing short of remarkable. This is one of those too! One of the most loyal friends you may ever have. We've constantly had dogs for well over 30 years now. Our first two dogs were purebred. Since then we have had nothing but rescue dogs. There is a difference. The purebreds were good dogs. The rescue dogs have been great dogs. It is as if they know, they have been saved... and show us their love, each and every day. Glad you enjoyed the video.

They were/are purebred, but didn't come from professional breeders. The owners of their parents were friends of my sister in law. Our first dog was from her first litter, and they didn't plan on her having any more, but she got pregnant right after they found homes for the first litter. So we decided on a second. 2 dogs, biological sisters, different litters, about 6 months apart. Lost one to congestive heart failure almost 2 years ago at the age of 11. Other one is still going strong at 12, despite having lost most of her sight to cataracts.
