Morgan Signs With Jazz

Recommended Posts

Interested to see what his deal is. Unless it's a 2-way contract it will be tough for him to make that team. More than likely he'll end up on their G-League affiliate, but the still a huge thing for Morgan and a good opportunity knowing he'll sort of be a "preferred player" on their G-League team.

Also gives him the opportunity to “show,” as Yogi did, to get picked up by another team if the Jazz don’t have room. Morgan is the kind of guy that just helps teams win, every team needs guys like that. He absolutely has the skill to play at this level, it’s about getting opportunities and finding the right fit for him. Hopefully it’s the Jazz.

Jazz are pretty loaded at the wing/forward spot, with Jae Crowder, Derrick Favors, Thabo Sefolosha, Georges Niang, and a couple G League guys on the roster.  Juwan will have his work cut out for him... Will probably come down to whether he can find any consistency with his three-point shot.  Always seemed like the ability was there at IU, but he just never could keep his percentages up.

Crowder was part of the trade for Conley

That's basically how Yogi started with Brooklyn.

Yes, but definitely the harder route. Also, I don't think they had 2-way deals when Yogi came out, but I'd venture to guess he would have received one of those had they had them. The 2-way deal definitely gives a prospect a leg up.
