I have been a sports nut since I was probably 7 years old. In that time, I love most sports, especially basketball, football and baseball. But, in over four decades of being a fan, the single biggest influence I’ve ever had in my view of sports is that guy right there. Regardless of the sport, my point of view was influenced by him, to me the greatest coach of them all. The Hoosier Hysterics guys deserve every ounce of glory and credit they get. Their work has truly been outstanding.

Zville Hoosier
I was there today. Simply an amazing event all the way around. The guy at the door estimated 800 people. Seems high but the place was packed so maybe. I spoke with Sage, Evans, Moye, and Sherron for a bit. They couldn’t have been nicer. And Sage is such a great ambassador for IU. They were all interviewed on stage. So was Coverdale, Nover, Hornsby, Hartman, Elston, Laz, and Tyra Buss. Sherron was particularly moving, he said this was the final piece to his ultimate healing and was emotional about the fan base welcoming him back home. It’s absolutely amazing what this podcast is doing for the fan base and former players, it’s hard to describe but it was palpable. I had to leave after 3 hours so unfortunately I missed RMK but the video was priceless. 2
Steubenhoosier
As much as I love RMK, and so ecstatic that he’s back in Bloomington... this is CAM’s town now. Will always cherish what Bob did for IU. I was a student during his heyday. That being said, it’s time for Arch to reinstate us where we belong

It has been so interesting to hear about past players and the past of the program. Not many fan bases, if any, get stuff like this and I’m very thankful!

Thanks, being there made me feel like something really special is happening and the cloud that seems to have been hovering over this program for the last 25 years is almost gone. Also, just thought this was a cool picture of Sherron and Evans having what appeared to be a special moment. They talked for a while. I have a new found respect for Sherron and how he’s comeback from his struggles in the past.
MaroonRebel
Great day yesterday! I had not been to the Bluebird in twenty years and happy to see the new Yogis open. Sorry for the middle age dude talking during all the pictures, but how many times do you get to talk to coach Ohstrom, AJ Moye, and Derek Elston. Also the Leals are the nicest people. It says a lot about the direction of the program when you include such great families. Class acts! He got choked up talking about the fans and players. It was a get reunion. You got to see how the players view each other as family and how the community embraced them. I wish the Garcia family was there. It would have showed them the extended family they could be joining. Family is the word tossed around by those I spoke to during the event. jefftheref
I pray for two things, one of them daily. First for Ayden and his family. The other is that Coach Knight comes home to Assembly Hall and that what happened so many years ago is finally put to rest. Everyone needs to move forward and give this man everything he deserves. Coach needs to be put on top of the mountain where he deserves to be! 1
