Local meteorologists are already getting hammered on social media with "you guys blew it again" posts because there isn't a foot of snow on the ground yet. Some people are just unreal.

The weather guys have brought such reactions upon themselves.

@IUFLA still have power? Blackouts not good with this cold.

One quote I saw- "Texas electricity customers are about to get "lubelessly pounded" as prices explode:"

Yeah, <knocking on wood> still have power.

They just replaced the poles and transformers in my neighborhood this summer. Maybe that has something to do with it. Whatever the case, so far, so good.

Frozen wind turbines and solar panels covered by snow are not able to help.

Gas refineries being shut down.

I think everybody is going to have some higher energy bills next month.

What?  No back up generator?

I've thought about it a couple of times...

During Harvey, I had electricity the whole time...even had satellite TV.

I don't know. I probably should get one. I looked at the Generacs and for about 7K but I'd have to also get a bigger propane tank. No natural gas available here.

Yeah, I kept hearing they're were going to do a "rolling blackout" but now I'm hearing they're just trying to fix what is broken.

Ah well...deal with it as it comes...

Snowmageddon is kind of a bust here in Sellersburg.  Maybe an inch and a half of snow overnight, and another inch or so of sleet this afternoon.  but nowhere close to the 8-9 inches that was hyped all weekend.  It is colder than snot out there though.

That's about what we've had here on the east side of Cincinnati.  Nowhere near what was predicted.
