Not one mention of IU however. You'd think in 50 bullet points, we'd show up at least once. Point #14 warrants some interest. Based on the ongoing debate in the other thread regarding compensation for likeness. Interesting to note that 75% of all coaches are in favor of player rights. BGleas Posted September 16, 2019 Report Share Posted September 16, 2019 I think they kind of have to say that. Won’t play well in recruiting if you’re vocal about not paying players. Also, it’s kind of an easy way out for coaches. It’s at minimum a step to clean up the sport, and in a way that they don’t have to call out their colleagues. Yes hard to be on the payroll for millions while these athletes (majority from underprivileged households) are making you rich and getting nothing. Minimum to say yeah pay them too. If they truly cared the top coaches would sit out in protest or go to capital hill or something to speak on it...a blurb in a paper is nothing.
