- you not crazy. IU should win this based on their play, as long as they keep running hard and stick with it. badgers are shooting out of their minds on super contested shots- they have to cool down at some point. the only way IU *doesn’t* win is if they a) keep being shook on the offensive sets and taking bad shots in the post (they’re getting the ball in the paint clean, but wi is crashing the house &&& IU keeps trying to go up with it. the kick out is there *every single time.*) and/or b) they stop running hard through screens and the half court set stalls. otherwise their unit D is stifling and almost no lead is insurmountable barring some kind of historic final shot % by the badgers on contested takes. coming from a badgers fan.

So a serious question- for people saying they're not going to shoot like this all game... why do you not expect that Big Ten athletes will make wide open 3s?  They make them in practice.  When there's no defensive pressure it's not that different.

They very well could, usually teams don't do this for a whole game.  IU will likely play better defense too.

I was wrong. At least about the game. This ones probably done.

Sticking to my feeling that the season isn’t over

Well, that depends on what your hopes/expectations are for the season..  The big concern is this Wisconsin team is one of the worst in the Big Ten.  Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Iowa- these are going to be tough.  Total lack of effoty today should be concerning for coach Miller.  Then again, this team was picked 9th by the writers in the conference, so maybe expectations were too high.  a .500 record in conference would be a major achievement in my book.

There’s a big difference between practice and a game. Some of those shots did get contested. They just made them.

Lake Leonard Hamilton said, a few times per year you're going to face really hot shooting and not much you can do about it.

Yep. If we beat Wisconsin 80 times out of 100, there are still 20 games we lose. This might be one if them. I don’t think we are toast just yet though. They can’t play this well in the 2nd half and IU can’t be this bad. A couple of big runs and we can win.
