IU Scott
Just now, Proud2BAHoosier said: Put him back in the AL East and see how he does..... Well he is not so that is a moot point. Still has a better stats the Cole does so maybe it is just people don't like pitching in New York and those crazy fans.
IU Scott
Is it me or is Wrigley Field very dark especially in the outfield. Is it just bad lighting or something is off watching night games in Wrigley. I guess I was use to watching all day games when I was growing up. I think it was either the summer of 84 or 85 when I got cable so I watched the Cubs games on WGN during summer vacations.
IU Scott
Well the Reds could break an all time record this year. I looked and the lowest team batting average I saw was .207 in 1888 by Washington. As of right now the Reds team batting average is .211 so it is in reach
IU Scott
Damn I was hoping the Cubs would bring in Kimbrel in the 9th instead of Jeffers.

Kind of have to look at that with a grain of salt though. Cards destroyed him and he got taken out before he could give up 6 hits.
Seeking6
Didn't watch a pitch or an at bat. Cubs win. Might be my thing.

Did not use much because neither offense did much. Cubs had a couple of tries that drive in all of your runs and one was helped by bad defense. Seeking6
I was doing my draft last night so I didn't hear this stat specifically but something along these lines. Mahle is the first pitcher to go 7 innings, strikeout 10 or more guys in Wrigley Field and lose in I think he said 25 years. Almost must win tonight for Cubs tonight because we face Gray tomorrow and well.....we don't beat Sonny Gray.

For missing to much time ? I think they are poster child for being to bulked up and have to much muscle. I think we see way more muscle strains or pulls today because they work out o much. IU Scott
I hope Bauer can hold the Cubs down because it appears that Darvish found his groove in the second inning.
IU Scott
The Reds first inning is your typical baseball outcome. The first 5 batters you had a K. Walk, Walk, K, Homerun. I saw the stat last night that the Reds and Cubs are 1st and 3rd in the league at about 40% where the outcome is a Walk, K or a home run.
IU Scott
I just think players are way less aggressive at the plate now and appears to rather walk than actually get a hit. Just see way to me many guys taking a called 3 strike. To me if it is close then swing because you never know how the umps will call it.
Seeking6
Whoever Suarez is from the Reds is chirping quite a bit from the dugout apparently. I don't mind talk or chirping one bit....but I'd suggest chirping from a dugout while batting less than .200 isn't a wise move. Especially on a team that has failed at every level of expectations this year and is still down 5-6 games to a team that sucks. Maybe just me. Seems like an Illini move.
