You said everyone has a 3 day weekend and just said I don't.  This is the time I really miss working for government because we got like 12 paid holidays a year.

Our CEO will send out an email about the importance of Monday and diversity in the workplace and everyone gets back to work.

Continuing to keep this thread that I started .... off track.  Something that I love about HSN.  An open mind.  Anyway.  When was the last time you paid a bill by snail mail?  I pay all my bills over the phone.  Love paying the bills on their due date. And not wondering if the check got there in time.  My and my wife's retirement checks get automatically deposited.  We do have to deposit our rent checks.

Oh by the way.  The donuts served on Saturdays at my bank are unlimited.

We'll get back to talking about Nebraska. I am sure. However... I have no problem when a thread goes off track.

I pay all my bills by check and mail it to them

Rutgers is better than I want to think they are because they are Rutgers.  A loss there didn't vex me as much as I thought it would in spite of our shooting woes and turnovers.  Even though they worked Purdue over pretty good at home and B1G home teams are something like 278-4 this season, I would be pretty discouraged with a loss at Nebraska on Saturday.  We really need to get a win on the road.  It looks better on the resume and it takes some of the pressure off if we have a slip up at home, which very well could happen.

I mentioned it before the first Nebraska game, but Haniif Cheatham is a grad transfer I was hoping we would have taken a look at last off season.  I have no idea if he could have gotten into IU based on the requirements we have for grad transfers.  In addition to him, I have come to wish we would have recruited Cam Mack out of the JUCO ranks last off season.  I think those two guys would look great in those two open scholarships we have. Since Hoiberg picked them up after taking the job, they were there for the taking.

Nebraska couldn't stop TJD the first half of our first game.  I hope we can find a way to get him some touches because he could have a big game if we do.  I'm going with Little Keet to see the Harlem Globetrotters on Saturday afternoon, so at least I'll see at least one game that makes me smile on Saturday.  Here's hoping for two.

Can't remember the last time I licked a stamp either...

I've been with the same credit union since 1988.

I fully embraced the internet revolution immediately in 1994. 1st purchase? A pound of Starbucks coffee.

Bank and pay all my bills with phone apps. Like the notification reminders...I guess if the internet ever craters I'm, as the French say, merde par chance...

Just don't like having all of my personal info on the internet but everyone is different.  Actually you don't have to lick stamps because they come with adhesive on them already.

Buy my dogs food and treats  and meds over the internet on Chewy.com.  Just two days to deliver. Plus they give a tracking. So I can follow when they start to deliver, to when the package is put on the truck, and then get notified when the package hits my front porch.  Especially nice when ordering for our German Shepard.  35 pound packages are tough for this old codger, from the pet store.

I mail one check for local trash pickup. Everything else is phone or online.  Another benefit to online banking is never having to balance a checkbook, one of life's greatest timesavers, second only to peeing in the sink while brushing your teeth in the morning......

I kid, it was a joke on an Adam carolla podcast.

Funny that you mention trash pickup. When we first moved to the house we are now in.  The HOA was inactive. Later it was activated. We paid for trash, and recycling which was done on a weekly basis.  Without fail.  Later, the HOA activated, and mandated no more personal trash pickups.  They started charging  semi annual dues. Which included trash pickup, but recycling every other week.  NOW.... it's anybodies guess when our trash/recycling gets picked up.  Trash is sitting outside my house right now... three days past due.  And the HOA has sent out a letter, not to call them when and if the trash does not get picked up on the normal designated day.

Mine is gone every thursday by 8 am.  I like the consistency.

Speaking of taking out the trash, I expect our Hoosiers to do that in Lincoln saturday night and hopefully early.

Tracking dog food shipments?  Mile, you have too much time on your hands.  😀

My bank serves fresh donuts and coffee every Saturday.  For free.

There are ZERO banks that do anything for free.

I did recently go to the bank to get some cash. My Airplane Mechanic prefers cash and he gave be a good discount for it. ... I had to go to 3 different branches to get the amount of cash that I needed. Armed guards escorted me to my Jeep. ... My other ride is a Piper (with some REALLY kick ass avionics).
