Why did AB think those text messages proved anything for him, in this debacle? Arians pretty well laid everything out the way it seemed it happened to all of us.

No clue. The thing is you know his counsel or people around him that advise him would be telling him to shut it down, lay low,etc....instead he starts releasing that stuff.

With that said. Watch the Chiefs pick him up hahaha...

For fellow Bears fans...DaBearsblog guy is supposedly connected with reliable sources into the Bears organization and was the first to report that Pace was hired as GM in the past. He was on the podcast and just announced that Nagy AND Pace will be fired on Monday.

Hope so! There have been rumors circulating that Pace would step into some Ted Phillips type role and hire the GM. That would be the dumbest of all things dumb allowing that guy to still influence an organization. In any capacity.

Yep. That is what many mainstream reporting is saying...however, if you read/listen closely they are being vague in their reporting (even Biggs).

This Debearsblog guy apparently has had numerous scoops before that he stated before it became known to mainstream media. Not sure who is connections are, but he is claiming in this podcast that Nagy was indeed told a week and a half ago he was done and given the option of finishing out the season. He said Pace is a done deal that he is going to be fired, but that he is well liked by George, and although George wants to keep him, he doesn't want to answer to the media since he can't really justify keeping him. He stated that just because things appear to be quiet in Halas Hall, that hasn't been the case.

Anyway, hopefully this guy is right and they are both gone.

Wouldn't it be fun to be an organization when the calendar turns to January it's all about playoffs? Every year with this nonsense. Nagy, Fox, Trestman....because we thought firing a 10 win team with Lovie was the smart decision.

Wasn’t Nagy supposed to be fired after that thanksgiving game?

There were some rumblings and rumors that he might. The Bears are a conservative franchise though, and have never fired a coach midseason. If that blog reporter is correct in the podcast, they gave him the option on leaving for the final two games or finishing the season.

As a fan, I'd be happy my franchise wouldn't fire someone mid season. Never, ever understood that.

Anyone know if DeForest Buckner is active

I dont think he's going to play. They activated a DT off the PS.

I think I'm good with sitting him. If we can't beat Jax without him, I don't really think we were making any noise, anyway.

He IS active. Not sure how much he'll play though. May depend on the score of the game.
