Race only had 4 rebounds, but was probably responsible for the team securing 10.

Yes.

Race does many things that do not show up in the box score. Rob getting the ball, and getting fouled, at the end was because of Race hustling to keep the ball alive after the PSU miss. His effort/hustle is what this team needs on the floor.

Today is the 75th anniversary of our proud marines raising the American flag on Iwo  Jima.  It was a struggle, that in the end our men won.

Today our Indiana men raised a flag over the Big Ten Conference.  Saying we are not done yet.  It too was a struggle. But in the end, again, our men won.

I’m really liking this Devonte Green. A lot.

That was a stressful last four minutes. Because of Al’s brain...and lackluster free throw shooting.

The refereeing was...uneven, to put it nicely.

Ryan Phillips on Assembly Call has seen the emergence of a Race coming. The dude is a player.

Starting to see Phinisee creeping back to form.

TJD even better than advertised. His development has been rapid.

A well balanced hook shot is fine. Fading a way? Not so much. We miss every point blank look when we don’t go straight up.

Just some scattered random thoughts.

Also the 35th anniversary of the chair throw.  Maybe not as important to the free world but worth aentuon. 😄

When this team plays with heart and energy this team can be pretty good.  Besides the last 3 minutes of the first half and about 7 of the second half they played very well.  We just have to stop having one of those long stretches where we can't score.  I thought one of the turning points was when we got down 48-42 Hunter stepped up and hit that 3 to stem the tide.

Anybody else notice how gassed Race was at the end? He plays with all he has. imagine if those injuries had not slowed down his progress and conditioning. Dude was sucking wind.

Love his passion. Exactly what the group needs

Maybe we now see if Race and Jerome was fully healthy last year that team would have been a lot different.

Conditioning is so important. Once he and Hunter get full and 100% healthy...plenty of promise next year with this crew. Save those thoughts for another day because this was just a win we needed so badly for today.

Anyone else see Archie punch the crap out of the clipboard?

Yep, it was after we missed two free throws

Didn't watch much of game as we were visiting our 2+year old GRANDDAUGHTER😍 and had a 2hr drive home. Put the game on IU was up by 3 around 8 mins left to go in 2nd half. Stayed off the game thread as last game I had ( Green playing with himself instead of WITHIN HIMSELF)🤓. Great win and effort down the stretch!!! Sound like another bad free throw day but ALWAYS HAPPY WITH A WIN!!!! Lets finish season strong and end 12-8 in league!!! GO IU!!!

There were quite a few people the last couple years that claimed Zach McRoberts was important because he did stuff that didn’t show up in the box score. This was of course silly and a coping mechanism to make us feel better about the fact that a player like McRoberts was actually getting significant minutes.

If you want to see a player that actually does a lot of stuff that doesn’t show up in the box score, Race Thompson is that guy. And his box score the last few games hasn’t been to shabby either.

Team leader for plus/minus (13 today) 2nd game in a row. Seeing why he was a top 100 player and having him a couple more seasons doesn't suck either. Total team win and contributions from all who played.

I did not get to watch the game, but managed to listen to the last few minutes. Fish said CAM was livid after the missed FT's.

Hopefully I can watch a replay on the B1G network.

Speaking of Race there was a very nice article about him in our morning paper.

Let's keep the train moving forward!!!

He was n front of the bench and forget who missed two free throws but he just punched something that was on his chair.

He punched a clipboard out of one of his assistant's (Roberts) hands. It's kinda funny to watch.
