Ivey is the best player in the state but not sure if he would’ve won Mr. Basketball if he had stayed at Marian. 4. Always important to beat your rival and it’s nothing like beating Ball State. Curious if you have any information from Morton's last regular high school season is going. I don't have anything beyond hearing that his last AAU season was a shooting disaster. I get having a good pass-first point guard is he another Nojel Eastern from deep? Admittedly, I know very little about Ivey as I really didn't hear him connected with IU. I think he was 20-30 spots higher than Leal in a ranking I saw, but at one point, Morton was higher than both Leal and Ivey so while ratings are nice, they are hardly the end-all in determining who has the most success at the next level. As much as I've heard about Leal, I've heard even more positives about Galloway and Geronimo and last I looked, Galloway was ranked lowest in either class. I seriously doubt he ends up having the least impact based on what I've seen lately, so ratings, while a guide, are just that and we've seen with players like Oladipo, Anunoby and Edwards, ratings are nothing more than educated guesses. Love your free forum as a great source of entertainment. Twin Degrees might be one of the biggest blowhards I've seen on a basketball forum. Scary that he's supposedly a coach, but then again, this forum used to have a complete idiot that went under the name of coach v...I'll have to admit he was every bit as bad. First off, I’m sick n tired of losing to the Boilers and Thurs there will be vengeance as these new Hoosiers seemed to have found a HEART, COURAGE & BRAINS overnight. Will it all travel to W. I think the only similarity between Eastern and Morton is that they’re both 6’6 haha. From all accounts, Morton has shot it a lot better during his high school season. He’s not going to be someone that we count on to score a lot (at least early in his career) but he’s a fantastic passer and point guard (something Eastern isn’t). A comparison I’ve heard is that he has a similar overall game to Dakota Mathias but isn’t the dead-eye shooter Mathias was if that helps? Yeah I was a fan of Galloway but once Ivey/Morton committed, we were full on wings/guards. Free board is definitely entertainment no doubt. The old rivals IU board has some doozies too. rico
The Boilers per NBC... PURDUE (NET: 37, NBC: First four out): After the Boilermakers lost to Michigan (23) at home on Saturday, they are sitting at 14-14 overall and just 7-10 in the Big Ten. They do actually have a pretty strong resume in regards to the number of good wins that they have, but the biggest issue currently facing Purdue is the number of losses, including a Quad 3 loss. The most losses an at-large team has ever had is 15. For context, Indiana last season was 17-15 with six Quad 1 wins and nine Quad 1 and 2 wins and they were left out. Purdue is 5-10 against Quad 1 opponents — three of those five wins vacillate between Quad 1 and Quad 2 — and 7-12 against the top two Quads with a 3-8 record on the road. Their best road win is at Indiana (58). They’re in a tough spot right now.
IUFLA
Brunk on Trevion Williams (this would seem to be a better match up for DD since they're similar players, but we held Williams in check the first time, so...) TJD on Boudreaux (who is the captain of my B10 Looks Over 30 Team, along with Ryan Kriener, Cassius Winston, Akwasi Yeboah, and Kofi Cockburn). Smith on Nojel Eastern. Kind of a waste of Smith's main talent since Eastern is not a major offensive threat. But we do need to keep him off the glass, especially at their offensive end. Rob on Eric Hunter Al on Stefanovic...this one scares me because they run Stefanovic off of lots of screens and Al has trouble fighting through them... Last game, the last 3:31 of the first half killed us, with Aaron Wheeler wielding the knife. His 3 3 pointers (2 during the last 3 minutes) was pretty much the difference in the game. Their bench outscored ours 33-17... All that said, we play defense, match their intensity, and get our inside guys touches, we can win...

But I also don’t fault guys for playing at a La Lumiere to play legit teams every game and be better-prepared for college versus playing scrub teams haha. Inequality
So Purdue nerds spent a lot of time on our farm when I was a tiny lad. Doing who knows what with our cattle, writing about the railroad and blah blah. So when someone mentions Purdue I automatically think cow, fingertip to elbow glove and not basketball. Also, I had a grandpa that went there. Purdue cheese as an Xmas gift is also a haunting memory. Needless to say, when I see anything associated with the Purdue logo, I get sick to my stomach to the point where I wonder if I could sue.

Unless he was trying to send a message (didn't get the start against MI). Total fail by Purdue's SID as well.
