TV show binging - making and asking for recommendations

Recommended Posts

Back when it originally aired, I watched maybe 15-20 total episodes of Cheers.  I liked it okay, but never went out of my way to watch.  But, l always loved the theme song.

So, last week, I'm perusing my options on Hulu and thought, what the hell, I'm going to watch the whole series.  Going to limit myself to 3-5 episodes a week, and never more than 1 a night, but I'm committed, at least for now.

Through the first 3 episodes, I've already have seen stuff that would never make it on the air today.

Heck yeah man. I watched the whole series a couple of years ago. Goodness, what a great show.

One thing on my wife's bucket list would be to live 1 week in the mid to late 1800's. In a primitive cabin etc

Pretty sure Airbnb or other could make that happen! You just have to decide how far you want to go yourself! Remember as a kid the family cabin was primitive, outhouse, hand pump for water, kerosene lamps for light, wood stove for heat! Those were the days!

You are correct .Mindhunter.  IN high school I wanted to be either a CSI specialist or FBI profiler back before they were thought of as cool. After tearing my ACL I could not decide if I wanted to go the Marines to go that path or college. I really wanted to pursue playing basketball but that injury ended any hope of that as I did not want to walk on NKU and since I loved IU so much the rest is history. I often wonder what might have been.

With that being said I probably would not have met my wife and that I would not trade for anything

I know this is the TV thread, but I just finished a book and thought: 'Billingsley would like this'.

If you are into non-fiction check out The Cipher by Isabella Maldonado. It's the first part of a series about a BAU team and is included on Kindle Unlimited if you have it. It definitely won't win any Pulitzers, but it was a super fast read and really entertaining.

I just saw it's being picked up for a movie and I got excited - then I saw the main character is going to be played by Jennifer Lopez and then the excitement wained. haha.

Severance on Apple TV is pretty intense. Basically, people have agreed to “sever” their work and home selfs. The home self never has to go to work, but the work self never gets to go home.

We are four episodes into it and liking it. Patricia Arquette and Christopher Walken are in it.

Really like Supernatural (still need to watch the last season), Bones, Hawaii Five-O (recent version), Last Man Standing, and I’ve started watching NCIS: New Orleans. Really like the show so far and halfway through season 3.

For the nerd in me, I am also a few seasons into Star Wars: Clone Wars. Also love The Mandalorian, and haven’t started The Book of Boba Fett yet.

With kiddos, church, and other activities, I’m lucky to get one show in a night.

I am watching "Lost" right now.  Never caught it when it was on.

Watched every episode except one on it's original air date.  Missed the one because I was on a plane.  Recorded it an watched it before the following week's episode.

Watched the whole thing again on DVD with my daughter when she got old enough to follow.

Start and stopped watching it a couple of time since then.

Probably my all time favorite tv series.
