Caught some big stripers, but the coolest fish I caught down there was a 30lb white drum. But back here in Indiana, if you fish the white river, you can catch wipers, which is very similar to stripers. Thing is stripers are a saltwater fish and cant breed in freshwater, so those Kentucky lakes have to be stocked annually with stripers. The only Indiana lakes that can keep a striper population are Patoka and Monroe but it's hard to manage because the are too shallow. Did catch a muskie out of Patoka once. @rico been walleye fishing before and would love to try ice fishing but I'm too far south. Lake Patoka has tried stocking, muskie, pike, trout. and Walleye, but, it's too shallow. Have caught some Walleye, and smallmouth in the canals, and rivers, down here but have to know what you are doing to get them. I actually caught a wiper in the white last summer. I was bottom fishing for Flatheads and pulled the bugger up. Caught him on a piece of Bluegill if I recall. Most of my fishing (99.99% now days) are for flat's and Blue's in the white. I live just outside of Gosport and they put in a new ramp a couple years ago. 4 minutes from home to ramp. The ramp actually kind of suxcks, but it's close! My PB was 39# Flat. Drroogh
So apparently holiday travels are back on? The flight from CA to Dallas was packed! Forget about keeping the middle seat empty I was the middle seat and on the next flight too! Maybe I should have taken a lesson from the guy they had to escort off the last flight! He seemed like he had way to much alcohol! He seemed like a good old guy but he was definitely struggling. By the way Dallas airport is very busy for a Wednesday evening. What CV 19 Yeah, we got the word today that flying was picking back up... A lot of concern in the ATC world as they have been working strange shifts to try and dodge the pandemic eating up a big facility like New York, or LA Approach, or any ARTCC. And a lot of mid level facilities were closing on the mid shift to save manning as well.
milehiiu
Thank goodness. I have no need to fly. Mrs. mile makes an annual flight to Florida to visit friends, every Spring. This year, she made reservations two months ahead of time. Problem with that. United Airlines did not refund the cost to her credit card. Instead... saying they would re-book her next year. Two months earlier than she normally goes ! Meaning that Mrs. mile has to leave two months earlier than she normally wants to. And all of this despite purchasing their insurance. Which United refused to honor due to the pandemic ! Mrs. mile does not even know if her friends will be in Florida at that time.... since they are snowbirds... and don't get to Florida till the time she normally visits them.
