cybergates
Game 27 VS Christian Watford made a nice FR-SO jump, and All-Time Hoosier favorite Victor Oladipo arrived on campus for the 2011 Hoosiers who face off with fellow Big Ten cellar dwellers, Max Walker and the 1966 Hoosiers. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/2011.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1966.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010–11_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1965–66_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team
cybergates
Game 28 VS Andrae Patterson concludes his IU career alongside fellow High School Parade All-Americans: Charlie Miller, Jason Collier, and Luke Recker. However, the 1998 Hoosiers were led by AJ Guyton and they’ll look to take down the 1979 NIT Champion Hoosiers with four future pros: Mike Woodson, Ray Tolbert, Butch Carter and Randy Wittman. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1998.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1979.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997–98_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1978–79_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team
milehiiu
The 2011 vs 1966 match up. I had to go with the '11 squad. Simply based on the roster. Guys like Victor, Cody and others. Yet. I knew Butch Joiner from the '66 team. Had him in a class or two of mine. It was hard not to vote for him. Sorry Harry.
5fouls
In the first game, neither team seemingly wanted to, or maybe more accurately, knew how to win. But, in the end, after 5 overtimes, a young freshman with a hear of a champion, named Victor Oladipo helped pull out a win for the '11 squad. 5fouls
In the second matchup, before the game, the '98 players were caught laughing at the 'NIT Team' on the other bench. The '79 team won by 31 points. Interesting enough, the 31 point loss was not the worst the '98 team suffered. that would be the 112-64 loss at Michigan.
