Southern Indiana was settled by people from Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee because the terrain.  Seems the Ohio river valley played a big part in settlement.

I like to think that the smart people travelling from Virginia kept going and settled in Indiana, while the dumb ones never made it out of Kentucky.

Dumb is 1 word, what I  think is the ones that could not stop knocking their sisters up just had to stop and settle and Kentucky was the landing spot and for 200 plus years they are working hard to keep their heritage alive. The normal ones made it to Indiana
